Chapter 116: Rooting Out the Enemy
With the old woman killed, the situation on the ground returned to Gu Xi's control.

A bone spike shot out, and he heard a tearing sound. It seemed he had pierced something.
Looking closely, Gu Xi laughed. In front of him was a paper man disguised as a wall painting.
If Gu Xi hadn't hit it, he wouldn't have noticed this paper man hiding here.
This was real physical camouflage.
Laughing, Gu Xi smashed the Rod of Shattering onto the paper man, cursing as he did.
"Paper man, huh? Sneaking in, huh? Want this building, huh? Die!"
In a few strikes, Gu Xi shredded the paper man.
Then he waved to the sky, "Fly close to the walls and ground, find all the hidden paper men."
The black mist around the Death Incarnation swirled, turning the paper pieces flying towards it into powder. The black mist spread out, and the Death Incarnation's body enlarged. Following Gu Xi's order, it flew close to the ground and walls.
Gu Xi initially wanted to chase after the Death Incarnation, but its flight speed was too fast for the evil coffin to keep up. Moreover, the Death Incarnation swept around right in front of Gu Xi.
So, Gu Xi stayed put to observe everything.
As Gu Xi had guessed, more hidden paper men were quickly found by the Death Incarnation.
Some paper men tried to resist, but their combat power was weak; they were torn to shreds in a turn, leaving nothing behind.
With Gu Xi finding a way to break the stalemate, the building was no longer affected by the paper pieces. Du Wushuang's efforts to clear the stuck paper pieces slowly restored the building's original state.
Gu Xi finally saw the building's situation.
It was a two-story Eastern-style small building. The paper attack had worn down the outer walls, but the interior remained largely unchanged. Peeking inside, Gu Xi saw a large number of stones and stonemason tools.
Seeing Gu Xi looking in, Du Wushuang explained, "This is a jewelry shop. Besides making jewelry, it also makes stone figures, stone dolls, and statues."
