🎶 But you and I are not done. Cause you and I are one. And I'm never really. I'm never really gone... 🎶

I love angst. 💔

It's been awhile since we've taken Aka in. Sama was still suspicious of letting someone new live with us. It had always just been us two before. But she eventually gave in, still keeping an eye on him.

I had asked her many times why she didn't trust Aka.

Kintoru would just look at me, giving me that one sad look. She still wouldn't say anything about it.

She then decides to tell me one day. I was petting Butterfly on the couch as Sama sits by me. She sighs. Her red eyes look at me. "My creator had an enemy. The past ruler of Jigoku. He took his throne, leaving the old king angry. He had an insight on the living world, taking form as a being with a red cloak."

My mouth gapes open. Aka, he was involved with the literal devil of Hell?

Sama sighs. "That's why I've been so unsure about this. I didn't want Shinigami's pet to live with us. Our creators hate each other. And I was worried for you Butterfly..."

She takes my hands in hers. She kisses them gently. Her thumb rubs my hand. She looked so vulnerable. I take her cheek in my hand. "Toru. I am so sorry. I didn't know."

My girlfriend hugs me close. "Oh Butterfly, you didn't have to know about it."

I bury my face in her dress as she hugs me. Here was the Beast of Control, being vulnerable towards a human. A human she loved oh so much. Her eyes close as she hums.

Her red eyes open again. I offer her a reassuring smile. She squeezes my hand comfortingly. Yeah. We were going to be okay.

Eventually Sama and Aka befriend each other. They were actually just getting to know each other, even if the former was mute most times.

Still, I was happy to see my new family getting along with the other. They both made sure to keep me safe from anything dangerous too.

But hey, I get it. I was the only human that they ever interacted with besides my friend. And since I gave them both a second chance, they made sure I was happy and loved all the time.

Sama sometimes got jealous whenever she saw me and Aka together. I reminded and told her that I only thought of him as a son, and vice versa.

Nonetheless, she was getting used to our new roommate. I'd see them together chatting, well she did most of the talking. It was endearing to see them becoming a family of sorts.

We were watching something together, Sama's claws running through my hair as we sat on the couch cuddling. She was becoming more of a romantic towards me.

Her kisses lasted minutes when we kiss. Always leaving me gasping for air as her red lips smirked. Kintoru's flirting skills also improved each time she'd flirt with me too.

I'd be left flushed and red, making her laugh at my embarrassment.

We'd also dance together, her taking the lead. Our relationship was growing more and more each day. I had never taken her as quite the romantic at first, but now she made sure I was well aware of her feelings.

The thought marrying this woman left me in thought. I'd always think about the day where either of us might propose to the other. Wishing that I had the courage to ask.

Marriage is one of those things that are meant to last years between partners. I also wanted to have children with my witch as well. Sama would be an amazing mother along with me. Dreams of her humming to a little girl that she cradles close.

Or us having a picnic at the park together as a family.

I just wanted that day to come. The day where'd we would welcome a new little one into our family.

Laughter and my embarrassed groans filled the living room. My girlfriend and friends were looking at my baby pictures. Sama would coo at some of them, meanwhile Yasu and his cousin laughed at the ones I was acting silly in.

I was petting Butterfly, burying my face in his fur.

One specific one made them all laugh at it. I sneak a look over Sama's arm. It was the one where I had ice cream all over my face. Red was flushed on my face. Damn it.

Sama was smiling at each one, making my heart beat slightly faster. Her seeing my pictures made me want a baby again. Daydreams of filling a picture book with the pictures of our children, capturing memories of them forever.

My hand subconsciously goes to my flat stomach, wishing to feel a second heartbeat along with my own. To feel the kicks of a small being bringing me comfort.

Sama sneaks looks a few looks at me, smiling some as I had a hand my empty stomach. Like she knew what I wanted as much as she did.

To raise our own child. To watch them grow up together. And become a small family, our home being filled with the laughter of small children and us cooking a dinner together.

She squeezed my hand comfortingly, as if silently telling me it'll become real someday...

We're under her tree right now. We had come back to Japan for awhile, bringing our pet and new son with us. They were still at the cottage I had rented for us. Along with Yasu who just wanted to tag along.

Her nails ran through my hair as we rested together under her sakura tree. The warm sun resting on our faces. Her humming was all that filled the air along with our heartbeats beating together.

The wind picks up slightly.

Sama's red eyes open, narrowing as she looks up. Her grip tightens on me. I open my eyes, seeing what she saw. Fear ran through my veins.

Giant hands stood before us. We stand up, her clinging onto me as she glares on.

"Kintoru. You are alive I see.." Eldritch God speaks in an echoey voice. My witch hugs me close, as if he'd dare to take me from her. "Master." My blue eyes look up at her.

"You've grown attached too..." I gulp, wanting Kintoru to take me away from here as soon as possible. "She understands me." Sama's voice is stern as she reponds.

Echoey laughter. The wind picks up. "My own beast is in love with a human. How pathetic."

My eyes tear up as she smiles sadly at me. Giant hands surrounded us. My witch never looked so heartbroken before.

"I'm sorry, Butterfly..." Sama sounded like she was going to cry.

"Sama?" My voice cracks with raw emotion. She gets pulled away from me as I stand there, frozen in time. I scream and run after her. No. No. She was not getting taken away from me.

"KINTORU!" I fall on my knees, sobbing and hitting the ground.

She was gone.
