Picture of Tamani >>>>
Our punishment wasn’t as bad as I expected. We had detention for a week in school, my parents made us wash all their cars but they didn’t cancel the trip to Italy which I was relieved to hear. Three weeks to go until we were out of school and relaxing in Italy.
“Okay I’m pretty sure you all know the rules already but just to make them clear. No talking, no texting, no using your laptops or any other device, no singing, no guitar playing, no eating, no drinking, no communication of any kind. Any questions?” Ms Alva asked. Sadly, Principal Barnett thought it would be funny to assign the strictest teacher in the whole school to watch over us.
”Are we allowed to inhale oxygen?” Raine asked sarcastically. I burst out laughing but I noticed Ms Alva glaring at me so I automatically turned my laugh into a sneeze, making Tamani chuckle lightly.
“That’ll be all” Ms Alva said, ignoring Raine’s question. We all slouched back into our seats. I noticed Ms Alva reach for a box under the table. She started to take her blazer off, revealing a red tube top and she was already wearing jeans. She pulled her dark brown hair out of its bun and shook it out a few times. Her old flats were replaced by black pumps . We all looked at her, with our jaws dropped.
“Nobody speaks of this” she said, giving us her evil death glare. We nodded enthusiastically as she strutted to the window. “You all can leave in two hours” she chirped. Since the detention hall was on the first floor of the school she opened then window which was only supposed to be opened in case of a fire and jumped out. We all looked as she got on the back of a sleek motorcycle which was being drove by a man who looked to be around her age and they rode off.
“Did anyone else see that?” Jade asked, her voice cracking slightly from shock. We all nodded but nobody said anything.
“Should we tell Mr Barnett?” Minzy asked, looking at the door longingly. She had always been the innocent one out of all of us.
“No, we should just stay. How many times do you think this would’ve happened before?” Harry retorted. She nodded and looked away from the door.
“So what do you want to do now?” Mikael asked, he got up from his seat and sat on the teacher’s desk. I stood next to him and wrapped an arm around his shoulder.
“Well we never actually planned our trip yet” Tamani said.
“How can you plan a trip?” Raine reprimanded her brother.
“I’m older than you” he countered.
“I’m older than you” she mocked in a low voice, trying to imitate Tamani’s voice.
“Guys!” I shouted trying to stop them from their banter. Then again, me, Mikael and Junior had these sorts of fights all the time. They looked up at me and I continued. “I know what Tamani means, we don’t have to create a schedule or anything, we could just say arbitrary things we want to do and then when we go to Italy.”
“Oh…” Raine said, her voice trailing off.
“So what do you want to do in Italy?” Mikael asked Raine.
“I want to go to the beaches and stuff” she said, smiling. “What about you?” she asked, nudging Minzy.
“I want to fall in love with a European guy or a tourist” she said blushing. Harry rolled his eyes at his sister’s wish and banged his head on the desk. “Your turn Mikael” she said, poking him in the rib.
“I want to meet an Italian model” he smirked and gave Jhonny a high five.
“Pervs” I muttered under my breath. “What about you Jhonny?” I asked.
