End the last chapter with Jawna. Start this chapter with Shorenzo. I applaud myself.

“How much longer do we have to walk?” I asked Lorenzo. I had been walking with him but I was blind folded and he kept a tight grip on my hand. Not that I was complaining.

“Just a little while longer” he said. I felt him lift me up and then he finally pulled the blind fold off of my face.

“Wow” I breathed out, looking at the scene in front of me. We were standing inside a beautiful boat. There was a leather couch, a wide screen television, a kitchen and a door that looked like it led to a bathroom.

“It’s my uncle’s boat” he explained, rubbing the back of his neck shyly.

“I thought your uncle was a fisherman” I said, cocking one eyebrow

“He is. He has another job too, that requires him to use this boat” he explained. I nodded and went outside and held onto the railing. I closed my eyes and smiled as the cool breeze hit my face. I felt someone’s arm wrap around my shoulder. I looked up and gave Lorenzo a huge smile which he returned with a heart stopping grin.

“So there’s been something I’ve been meaning to ask you” Lorenzo started but he trailed off. I raised my eyebrows and he continued. “I like you. A lot. I think you feel the same way…” he trailed off again.

“Yeah” I whispered shyly.

“Good. And I know you’re going back to America at the end of the vacation but I want you to stay here. With me” he said turning to face me and looking me directly in the eyes. I tried to detect the joke in his voice but he was serious.

“Lorenzo, I’m going to University” I said.

“You don’t have to! I know someone who owns a record label here. You could start your career. You don’t have to go to University. Please, stay” he said, taking hold of my hand. I sighed and rested my hand on his shoulder, pushing him away lightly. I took a step back from him and he took a step closer.

A life with Lorenzo. A life in Italy with him. I really liked him, I knew that for sure.

“Yes.” I mumbled out, my voice shaky. His head snapped up and a huge smile broke out across his face.

“Really?” he asked. I nodded and he engulfed me in a hug and he actually lifted me off the ground. Now I needed a way to tell everyone I was staying.

“What do you mean you’re staying here?” Jhonny demanded, giving me an angry look. We were at the beach at the moment. It had been two days since Lorenzo asked me to stay in Italy and I decided to tell Jhonny first. He wasn’t taking it well though

“I’m staying here with Lorenzo” I said, sighing dreamily staring at the waves crashing against the shore.

“You barely know him Shawna. Why would you do that?” he yelled, I shrunk back and he gave me an apologetic look.

“You can’t tell me what to do!” I snapped. We glared at each other for a second before I stormed off angrily, feeling my blood boil. Who did Jhonny think he was anyway? He wasn’t my dad. He wasn’t my brother. He didn’t have any authority over me. I felt sadness creep in when I thought about the fact that if I stay. I’d be leaving Jhonny. I shook off the thought and kept walking. It was dangerous to be out by myself but I doubted anyone would try something here where there were people.

“Shawna?” I turned around at the sound of my name and smiled when I saw Lorenzo standing there. I couldn’t believe he was actually my boyfriend now. It was a bitter sweet feeling.
