So this is the epilogue. It skips a few years actually. So they are 21 or 22 I guess.

So….yeah read on

So reminder: Remember Shawna and Jhonny had a bet about who would fall in love first and the prize was $10.

3 years later.

“Okay Lucky repeat after me one more time okay?” I told my little sister. “I will not step on Daniel’s foot.”

“I will step on Daniel’s foot” Lucky repeated. I rolled my eyes and shooed her away. Lucky and Daniel were both three years old now, Daniel was extremely athletic already which Junior and Mikael were very proud of and Luck was extremely outspoken which was a blessing and a curse. She was going to be handful but in a good way.

I sighed and sat on the seat on the patio. I was told to stay outside no matter what but I was getting bored. I watched as Junior and Mikael wrestled in the distance. Minzy and Liam were sitting together talking, Raine was talking on the phone and Harry and Jade weren’t here yet, they were buying food with Tamani. Our parents were inside, which is one of the reasons why I hadn’t just gone inside. I sighed as I fiddled with my fingers idly.

‘This is a nice welcome back’ I thought sarcastically. We had all just graduated from University so I was expecting all of us to be chatty but everyone was avoiding me like the plague. I noticed Minzy and Liam giving me sly looks which served to annoy me more.

Huffing, I got up from my seat and pushed the door to my house open. I doubt they were keeping me inside for anything remotely relevant. As soon as I stepped inside I stepped on something, I looked down and saw a crayon, it was broken because I had stepped on it, when I looked around I noticed it was a trail of crayons. Curious, I followed the train which eventually turned into a trail of childish drawings. I smiled, thinking Lucky and Daniel were probably trying to cause trouble again. I shook my head smiling and picked up one of the drawings. My eyebrows knitted together when I saw my name written on it. Considering this is the most entertained I’ve been all afternoon I followed the trail some more, I noticed several pictures hanging on strings from the ceiling, when I observed one of them closely I noticed it was a picture of me when I was a lot younger, maybe when I was thirteen. What caught my attention was what was written on the back of the picture.

Remember when we were thirteen and you were crying because you thought you would look ugly in braces?’

I cocked my head to the side and looked at the other pictures; they all had some memory of me with Jhonny but in an unfamiliar handwriting. I followed the trial some more and I saw Jhonny’s old baseball hat he used to wear all the time. When I noticed something written on it, I inspected it closely and saw the word ‘Will’ written in black marker. I was actually having more fun with the mini scavenger hunt.

After following the trail some more I saw my first guitar leaning against the wall. I walked over to pick it up when I noticed the word ‘You’ written on it in the same black marker. I was growing more and more curious as I continued following the trail until I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw a fort. Like one of the forts me and Jhonny always used to make when we were younger. I moved closer to the fort and went inside of it and I saw Jhonny sitting there smiling at me.

“Marry me?” he asked with a nervous smile on his face. My eyes widened at this as I stared at him.

“Yes” I said, beaming at him and pulling him into a hug.

“And you’re already wearing your ring so…” he trailed off. My eyes snapped to my left hand and I saw a beautiful gold ring with intricate designs and a diamond in the middle. How did I not notice I was wearing an engagement ring?
