“Shawna” my eyes fluttered open at the sound of someone saying my name. I saw Jade and Harry standing there. I groaned and sat up on the bed, glaring at them.
“You fell asleep on your guitar last night” Harry said, looking like he was holding back laughter. I nodded and took my guitar from him.
“Why am I awake so early in the morning?” I asked them, looking at the clock.
“We’re going on a triple date” Jade said, clapping excitedly. Harry chuckled at his girlfriend’s behaviour and so did I. Jade could get excited easily.
“Triple date?” I questioned.
“You and Lorenzo, me and Jade and Minzy and some guy” Harry said, he looked a little bit upset by the fact Minzy found a date. I was fully awake after hearing about Minzy’s date. A huge grin broke out across my face.
“Minzy has a date?” I asked, grinning like an idiot.
“Yeah, it’s a surprise though. She was kind of nervous because she said we probably won’t approve. None of us have met him yet” Jade said, taking a hold of Harry’s hand. He squeezed her hand which made me smile at the small display of affection.
“Anyway, we’re going to the pizza parlour. Get ready” Harry said, pulling Jade out of the room. I nodded but as soon as they left the room I groaned and lay back down on the bed. My mind flashed back to yesterday when I saw the two guys at the restaurant. I knew the younger one was one of my kidnappers. I don’t know how Harry can expect me to walk around Italy like normal when that guy was somewhere out there.
Sighing, I slipped on a pair of shorts and a tank top. I really wasn’t feeling to dress up since I had a bad feeling about this date. I grabbed a blazer from the closet and picked up my guitar case and left the room.
I found Harry and Jade waiting for me in the dimly lit corridor of the hotel.
“Finally” Harry said, wrapping an arm around Jade’s shoulder. I glared at him and slapped his shoulder playfully. He chuckled and wrapped his other hand around my shoulder.
“Slut” I muttered under my breath which made Jade burst out laughing.
“Where’s Minzy and her date?” I asked feeling slightly disappointed they weren’t here yet. I had been asking about it the whole ride which only served to amuse Lorenzo and annoy Harry. Jade was equally as curious as me.
“I don’t know if I can wait any longer” Jade commented. I nodded my head in agreement and kept my eyes glued to the door. “There she is!” Jade cried out, pointing a finger. Everyone in the pizza parlour turned to look at us and I noticed Lorenzo slouching down to avoid being seen.
“You know if you slouch they’ll still see you” I told him jokingly. He chuckled and wrapped an arm around my shoulder. My eyebrows knitted together when I realized Minzy was alone.
“Where’s your hot date?” Jade asked making Harry choke on his water.
“He’s coming soon” Minzy said, flashing us a fake smile.
“Are you okay?” I asked her. She nodded and took a seat next to me. Just then a tall guy who looked to be in his early twenties. Maybe Lorenzo’s age walked into the restaurant. The first thing I noticed was his captivating blue eyes. His sandy brown hair was stylishly messed up and he was muscular. I felt my breath hitch when I noticed a familiar scar on his hand. Beads of sweat dotted my forehead and I had a death grip on Lorenzo’s hand.
“Are you okay?” he asked me. I tried to respond but I couldn’t get any words out. I glanced at Minzy and I noticed she was breathing heavily.
