“When did you become interested in music?” Lorenzo asked after he finished giving us a tour of the Tower of Pisa.

“Since I was a toddler, I always loved music” I said. “Do you like being a tour guide?” I asked shyly.

“It’s alright” he replied with a shrug. “I actually want to be a pilot. I’m studying now, I have this job to help pay for my apartment.”

“Cool” I answered and looked back at the Tower of Pisa which was leaning at a strange angle. As usual. A few people were taking pictures near the tower and made terrified faces as if it were about to fall on them. I rolled my eyes and redirected my attention back to Lorenzo who suddenly looked nervous for some reason.

“I could get fired for this but do you want to go out somewhere with me later?” he asked, rubbing the back of his neck shyly. I frowned at him for a second, did I really want to? I always vowed to myself not to fall in love but what could go wrong. You only live once right?

“Sure” I replied happily, giving him a shrug. He smiled at me and my stomach twisted up in knots. I was more excited for the date than I should’ve been.

“A date?” Minzy repeated my words excitedly. We were hanging around in the hotel room; Raine was lying on the bed with her headphones in, Jade was sitting cross legged on the floor rummaging through my suitcase to look for an outfit for tonight and Minzy was dancing around the room like an idiot and squealing. We need to find her a boyfriend. Quick.

I sighed and nodded. “I don’t know why I agreed to this.” I grumbled, I sat down on the floor next to Raine and helped her go through my clothes. We finally decided on a simple tank top, a cardigan and a floral skirt.

“What time is the date?” Jade asked. I looked at my watch with my eyes wide. I didn’t have Lorenzo’s number and he didn’t have mine and he didn’t give me any specifics. I ran a hand over my face and Jade gave me a worried look.

“Are you okay?” she asked.

“I don’t have his number” I sighed. Suddenly I felt a vibration and I pulled out my phone and saw a text from an unknown number. My eyebrows knitted together in confusion as I opened the text.

Pick you up at 7 :)’ – Lorenzo.

I smiled down at my phone and Raine raised an eyebrow at me and reached for my phone, I pulled away and she got up from her spot on the bed and chased me around the room. I tripped and fell over and Raine grabbed the phone for me, giggling.

“Ooh, how romantic” she cooed. I playfully glared up at her and she smirked at me while Jade and Minzy laughed uncontrollably.

“The date is at seven guys” Raine said, faking an accent. Minzy squealed and Jade smiled at me while wiggling your eyebrows. Just then there was a knock on the door and my dad walked in, looking like he was fighting off a headache.

“Girls, I can hear you from all the way upstairs and the lady in the room next to ours is complaining” he scolded us.

“Sorry daddy” I said, throwing my phone on the bed.

“Are you planning to go out tonight?” he asked, jerking his head toward the outfit I had hanging up.

“Yeah we’re going shopping Uncle Jacob” Minzy said quickly.

“Since when do you choose outfits to go shopping?” my dad asked, looking genuinely confused.

“Dad, when a girl shops, she wants to look good so the people in the store don’t expect her to pick something ugly. If I walk into a store wearing a bad outfit, people assume I have bad taste. However, if I walk into a store with a good outfit, people will know I have good taste” I explained quickly, hoping to confuse him.
