“I can’t believe you’re making me do this” I complained to Minzy who was curl -ironing my hair. She giggled and poked me with the curling iron lightly. She looked beautiful though, she had on a sleeveless, gold dress with matching shoes and limited make-up.
“You have to go either way. You have to sing” she reminded me. Jade who had been doing my nails giggled, she hadn’t put her dress on yet since she was working with nail polish. Raine was sitting down flat ironing her own hair.
“Where are the guys anyway?” I asked, looking around as if they would magically appear in the room.
“They’re almost here” Raine said, looking down at her phone. “They’re on the street actually.”
“That means I have to get ready!” Jade exclaimed, she dropped my hand and grabbed her black dress and slipped it on. It was a knee length, sleeveless dress. It suited her perfectly. Harry would love it.
“Ok I’m done!” Minzy exclaimed happily, she put the curling iron down on my bed causing it to scorch the sheets. I frowned at the new hole in my sheet and she looked at me apologetically. “Sorry.”
“Don’t worry about it” I said, standing up, I looked in my full length mirror and gasped, I looked good. “How do I look?”
“You look beautiful” I heard my mom’s voice say, my dad followed her through the entrance to my room. I beamed at her and she grinned back. We all heard a horn honking and I immediately knew it was the guys.
“Well we have to go. Bye” I said, I grabbed my guitar case and hugged both my parents before we all headed downstairs to see a bus. I shook my head and laughed when Jhonny poked his head out the window and smirked at us.
“Did you steal this?” I asked Junior and Mikael who were standing on either side of me.
“Maybe” they both trailed off at the same time. It surprised me that me and Mikael were twins when he and Junior seemed more like twins. I shoved Mikael’s shoulder and walked into the bus with some assistance from Jhonny. I took the seat next to him and he grinned at me.
“Hey” he said, giving me a sleepy smile.
“Since when do we greet each other without insults? Weirdo” I snorted. He ducked his head down and chuckled, he looked cute when he laughed like that.
“Oh right, sorry McJagger” he said, poking my nose, I bit his finger and he immediately pulled away from me and inspected his finger. I chuckled darkly and sat back in my seat. “You look great, by the way.”
“Not so bad yourself” I joked, gesturing to his tuxedo, I tugged on his bow tie lightly.
“So you ready to sing?” he asked.
“Of course not” I muttered, making him laugh again.

As soon as we walked in the hotel ballroom and I saw the stage, I felt nerves kicking in. Jhonny squeezed my hand and I smiled up at him. We sat around a table which was decorated using pink and purple flower. There was a chandelier hanging from the ceiling. The committee out did themselves this time around but the atmosphere wasn’t as exciting as I expected it to be.
We sat and joked around for a while until some guy came to call me on stage. I noticed a few couples on the dance floor slow dancing. I envied them slightly and at the same time I was repulsed. I sighed and stepped up to the stage. My whole table cheered when they saw me and so did all my other classmates. I sat down on the stool in stage and adjusted my guitar. I blew out a breath and closed my eyes. My fingers trembled slightly as I played the chords to the song.
