“I can’t believe he stole Lorenzo’s van” I groaned. We were on our way to the hotel to warn everybody about what was happening but this car didn’t have enough space so Liam made us stop by Lorenzo’s and he hijacked the van. I guess he knew how to considering he had been working for Tracy for years but still.

“Well believe it because it’s true” Jhonny said but he looked equally as surprised that Liam was able to pull it off. When we finally reached to the hotel, both me and Jhonny ran inside quickly and headed to the hotel rooms to get everyone. I knocked on my parent’s door wildly and my dad opened the door.

“May we help you?” he asked with a playful grin on his face. My dad’s smile was contagious but I couldn’t find it in me to smile back at the moment.

“Tracy’s officially tracking us” I said, feeling horrified. The grin on my father’s face wiped clean off as soon as he heard that. “We need to get you guys out of here now” I continued.

“Shawna we can’t leave the hotel, we’re the ones being tracked. We have to stay. You and your friends have to go hiding. You’re the one he’s after now. Not us” my dad said with a pained expression on his face. I could tell the last thing he wanted to do was leave us alone but he had no choice, he was right. I pulled my dad into a hug and he instantly returned the hug.

“I love you daddy” I whispered.

“Love you too” he said as I dropped my arms, I stepped back from him hesitantly and walked away, leaving the hotel. When I got back to the car, Tamani and Harry were in the back seat.

“Where’s everyone else?” I asked Jhonny who had taken a seat on the passenger side.

“Your brothers, Raine, Jade and Minzy are in the van” he answered. I nodded and we drove off. We had to go find a place to hide out for now and I knew exactly where we could. The drive was at least an hour. The car was deadly silent, since everyone was caught in their own thoughts. The silence was tense but it was better than nothing. I hopped out of the car and Jhonny, Tamani and Harry followed along silently. We stepped inside the vineyard but I couldn’t help but feel bitter. This was supposed to be me and Jhonny’s special place but I knew coming here was better for all of us.

“So you are all officially under my protection” Liam said as we were all inside. Minzy cocked one eyebrow at him but he simply placed his hands around her shoulders. “I know how Tracy works therefore you’re under my protection” he explained.

“Are you serious?” Raine asked, sounding annoyed. “We can’t just stay here” she said gesturing around the room.

“We have no choice, Jhonny already told us he and Shawna are being tracked which means we’re being tracked. This is for our own good. It’s not permanent” Tamani said, sending a harsh glare at his sister.

“He’s right. We just have to stay here for now and see how it plays out for now” I said, trying to sound calm which was the opposite of how I was feeling.

I sat on the staircase in the vineyard, strumming my guitar lightly. Harry and Jade had gone to buy food and the others were in the other room watching television. We forced to Liam to at least make the vineyard liveable so he had the flat screen from his apartment delivered here by a friend. I chuckled at the thought as I continued strumming. I had been on edge but I was feeling more at ease at the fact that I was playing.

I knew it was a bad time to think about how to tell Jhonny but I couldn’t help but let the thought cross my mind. I thought about every way possible. A thought crossed my mind and I headed into Jhonny’s temporary ‘room’. He was sitting down playing something on his phone. I took a seat in front of him and he cocked one eyebrow at me.
