So I was on youtube and I got bored and then I saw the name of this band The Civil Wars and I thought it was the coolest band name ever (I love bands – confession: I discovered some indie song which lead to a few more and blah blah but I honestly never paid attention to the band name so I’m trying to find them back and wahlah The Civil Wars came into my life. K read)

I sat down staring at the table in the restaurant waiting for Lorenzo. He had excused himself to go to the bathroom and he was taking pretty long. I drummed my fingers on the table idly, whistling to myself.

Suddenly a huge hand covered my mouth and I tried to scream but it came out muffled.

“Just stay quiet” the guy said in my ear. I sighed in defeat and he dragged me out to the alley next to the restaurant and I finally got a clear look at his face. He was the same guy I saw with Liam that day I was in the restaurant with Harry.

“So you’re Toni and Jacob’s daughter?” he asked. My eyes widened at the fact he knew my parents. He knew exactly who they were.

“What’s it to you?” I snapped at him, crossing my hands over my chest. I was playing a dangerous game but I wanted to know how this guy knew all that.

“It’s everything to me!” he exclaimed. I took a step back from him and he looked at me. “You don’t remember me?”

“Should I? You seem like the life of the party but honestly I don’t” I said sarcastically. He growled at me and suddenly he went in his pocket and next thing I knew there was a gun placed on my temple. My breath hitched as I looked at it.

“Let’s try this again Shawna. I’m Tracy. Tell your parents I was here” he said, smiling at me. A few silent tears rolled down my cheeks. Just then Tracy was pushed away from me and he was tackled to the ground but the gun was still in his hand. I took a proper look and realized Jhonny was his attacker. Jhonny delivered several punches to Tracy’s face.

“You stay away from her. You hear me?” Jhonny threatened. Tracy raised the gun to shoot him but Jhonny tackled him again and he ended up with the gun in his hand and pointing it right in the middle of Tracy’s forehead. My eyes widened when Jhonny threw the gun to the side and grabbed Tracy by the collar. “Leave” he told Tracy through gritted teeth. Tracy retreated from us slowly but he kept glancing at me in the process.

Jhonny turned to me and cupped me cheek. “Are you okay?” he asked me, looking worried. I nodded, still too stunned to speak. Just then a car came towards at full speed. Jhonny quickly shoved me against the wall to avoid being hit by the car. I saw Tracy was the driver of the car. Of course.

Jhonny had his hands at either side of my head. We made eye contact for a few moments before I turned away from him and stepped around him.

“Thanks for coming” I said shyly.

“Are you okay?” he asked again. A few silent tears flowed down my face and I shook my head. He silently pulled me into a hug and let me ruin his shirt with my crying.

“Why does this have to happen to me?” I asked him.

“I don’t know” he answered, still sounding worried. I knew Lorenzo was probably waiting inside for me but right now I needed the comfort of a friend. Lorenzo could wait.

I sat down on the bench on the golf course of the hotel with my guitar, strumming a few chords. I needed an escape from all the drama that has become my life. I noticed a few golfers in the distance but they didn’t seem to notice me. I started singing softly so I didn’t get their attention.
