Alice pov:
Even though I know she's faking it, I can't help but feel a knot of frustration. Doesn't she realize what I endure just to see her, And now she's pulling these schemes? Maybe there's a reason, a purpose behind it all. But she could just tell me, so I can help her. It's so frustrating, "pasalamat siya mahal na mahal ko siya."

"Pero hindi kita titigilan, Attorney Hontiveros," Alice purrs, her voice a dangerous whisper. "and for sure, hindi mo ako matitiis." she let out a low, throaty laugh.

I rushed to the hospital. There were still many police officers guarding the entrance and personal bodyguards patrolling Theresia's room.

Mahihirapan ako makalusot madaming mga kalbong bantay, kilala pa naman na ako ng mga pangit na toh.

This time, my status as a shareholder wouldn't work because it might compromise the hospital's reputation if I acted unprofessionally. I had to think of another way to get inside, considering only family members and medical professionals were allowed.

A wry smile touched my lips. "Then it's time to become a doctor for today," I muttered. It was surprisingly easy to acquire a doctor's coat. My access to the hospital's supplies gave me an advantage, a temporary disguise that could get me closer to her.

I was wearing a doctor's coat and, of course, a face mask, so they wouldn't recognize me.

Pinapasok na nga ako ng mga tanga, andali naman mauto ng mga PBGs niya. They let me in without a second thought.

When I entered the room, I found her watching TV, seemingly engrossed in a news program. I had to play the part, act like a real doctor. Thankfully, she didn't recognize me.

I approached her bedside, my heart pounding in my chest. I picked up the stethoscope. I placed the stethoscope's diaphragm on her chest, near her heart, and listened intently. The stethoscope amplified the sounds of her heartbeat, allowing me to assess her rhythm and strength. It was an act, but I had to make it convincing.

Just as I was about to move the stethoscope to her lungs, she suddenly grabbed my hand, her eyes wide with surprise. "Ano ginagawa mo dito?" she whispered, her voice laced with disbelief. "You're not a doctor. You're holding the stethoscope the wrong way."

My facade crumbled. She knew.

Theresia Pov:
I was glued to the news, completely absorbed in the unfolding events on the screen. Suddenly, a doctor entered the room, and a familiar scent wafted towards me, but I tried to ignore it, since I got too distracted by the tv.

The doctor started the usual heart check, but something felt...off. The stethoscope lingered on my chest longer than usual, and the way she was holding it...well, let's just say it wasn't exactly textbook. It was like she'd never seen a stethoscope before!
