It’s been two days since that
night—one that could have ended in tragedy. Thank God Bianca made it to the hospital in time; she’s safe, and so is the baby. She just needs rest, and after about a week, they will likely discharge her. Deion, on the other hand, is still recovering from a serious head injury after that hard fall.

Galit ako sa ginawa niya, but it never crossed my mind to wish na may mangyaring masama sa kaniya. Though I'm still unsure if I can forgive him for what he did. Lalo't  alam ko na ngayon that he's lying when he told me that Alice initiated that kiss.

I stopped by the law firm to wrap up a few key meetings with some of my clients, then headed straight to the hospital to visit them. When I arrived, I saw Ralph and Alice having a conversation in the lobby. I walked quietly toward them, but just before I could get close, she turned around. I had forgotten how perceptive she is when it comes on my scent.

Her brows furrowed as she walked toward me. “What are you doing here?” She asked.

"Susunduin na kita." I replied with a smile, pausing to wait for her to come closer.

“Shall we go?”

She looked at her watch. “I thought our date was at 5 PM. I think you're early, baby.” she said seductively.

“I'm a little excited then.” I said and giggled.

We shared a quick kiss on the cheek. In public, we keep things as proper as possible, but when it’s just the two of us, we’re much more intimate, sometimes even wild. Alice told me to go ahead and wait in her office since she still had a patient to check on and a few rounds to finish. I waited for Ralph, who was signing papers at the counter, and then we headed to the elevator together.

“We decided to postpone the wedding next week.” he said, his expression heavy with sadness. “Right now, my priority is her recovery. I feel so guilty that I nearly put them at risk.”

I placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. “No one wanted this to happen, Ralph. But you have to control your temper and be more cautious next time to avoid trouble.”

He nodded, sighing.

“And about the wedding— isipin mo nalang you will have more time to prepare. I will help you, we will give her the best wedding she deserves.”

He smiled genuinely.

                                  ---

I went to bianca and stopped by briefly to check on her, but didn’t stay long, as Ralph had told me Bianca needed to rest. Afterward, I went to Alice’s office. I knocked, but it seemed no one's there— So I went inside. I sat in her chair, looking around her desk, and couldn’t help but smile when I noticed our photos displayed beside her nameplate. Looking back about everything we went through to get to this point made me feel emotional. After six years apart, with no communication, we somehow found our way back to each other. Trust and respect have been the foundations of our relationship, and we promised to nurture them. Although, we have our disagreements—often, in fact—but we’re so deeply in love to let go of each other. For a while, I drifted into another dimension, almost forgetting where I was, until it dawned on me that she was taking longer than expected. Boredom crept in, and I started wandering around her office. My eyes fell on a shelf lined with medical books—hardly my area of interest. Legal matters are more my forte, and I would’ve been more intrigued if those shelves held law books instead.

After a while, with nothing left do and still no sign of her, I stretched out on her couch, thinking maybe a quick nap would be nice. As I lay there, staring at the ceiling, I noticed a CCTV camera discreetly position into the corner. Memories of what she’d shared with me that night resurfaced. I trust her, but curiosity pricked at me—questions that had lingered since that day came rushing back. What if Deion force a kiss on her? And, even worse, did he harass or hurt Alice?
