Andrew didn't like going to parties, too many people and interacting with others sounds dreadful. Well, for him. The year was 1989, the 80s is about to end soon. Andrew sigh as he finally found a quiet place and look up, admiring the stars. New York has a pretty view. Andrew pulls out his cigarette box and took one out. He light it up and took a drag. Instantly, he felt his tense body relax. He was about to take off his shades, until he heard clicking noise. Quickly, he fixed his shades and clear his throat, taking another drag.

"Hey lonely boy, mind if I join?" Andrew turned around and saw you, his eyes widen. "Y- Y/n?" You were a black dress, with black heels. Your hair lose and did a dark glamour makeup look. You walked a bit forward, the moon's light hitting you, you look beautiful. Andrew slightly blush, it's been a while since he last seen you. You stand next to him and ask; "May I?" Referring to pass you a cigarette. Andrew reached to his pockets and pull out his cigarette box once again. You took one from it and put it on you lips.

You signaled him for a lighter, he pulled his lighter out and light up your cigarette. You inhale and exhale, blowing the smoke. Gosh, he has never seen a woman looking more attractive just by smoking. "Thanks, why did you decide to leave the party. Boring?" You questioned. Taking a drag from your cigarette. Andrew looks away and shrugs. "Not my cup of tea, you know that." You slightly raised a brow and look up at the sky, also admiring the stars. "Yet, you come. You can be quite funny. Then again, your humor is different than the rest." Andrew suck his teeth and took drag. He looks back at you and says ignorantly; "The rest, you've been talking to other guys?"

You inhale from your cigarette and exhale at his way. You slightly grinned and respond; "Jealous much?" This time, he laughs. "I'm not surprised, you're the type of person who says: 'Fuck it, it is what it is.' And you move on with your life, as if it didn't matter to you. As if I didn't matter to you." Andrew trails off. This caused him to take another puff from his cigarette aggressively, obvious he was still hurt by this. You stood quiet, flicking off the ash. "You wanted me to beg you to stay when you were the one who  decided to breakup with me? Wow, you still have the audacity. Then again, you're special after all." This made Andrew ticked off and you turned around and say;

"I'm not going to hear this nonsense, all I wanted was peace and quiet too. My mistake." You were about to walk away, until Andrew grabbed one of your wrist. He made you fully turn at him, pulling you close to him. You can smell his breath, the scent of the cigarette. "You know my reason why I broke it off. You're a flirt, I can get it. You're a beautiful woman, very attractive. Yet, you like flirting with other men. I didn't like to be disrespected. You didn't stop!" "Maybe I won't have flirt if you weren't flirting with other women. Not only that, talking to your ex again." You said coldly. "Who told you that?!"

You remove his grip harshly and threw your cigarette on the side, the bud landing on the ground. Instantly, stubbing it off. "I heard you talking to her on the phone. A month before you and I broke up. I didn't want to say anything, thinking it was just going to be one time. No, every Friday, you'll be talking to her. I can you laughing at her jokes or whatever puns she was making. I got tired of it, so, yeah, I said it fuck it and I moved on." You spat. Andrew stood quiet, his throat dried. Slowly, his breathing was stable now. You crossed your arms and hummed. "I guess we're even now." This made Andrew sick his teeth. He threw his cigarette and step on it, disposing it.

"I wasn't the one who called, it was her. I don't know how she found the number, but she did. I did told her this wasn't a good idea and she shouldn't be contacting me. Though, she didn't want me back. She wanted to catch up, if you heard us carefully, other people were with her. We were all catching up. I should of said something, that was my mistake. I'm sorry." Andrew said sincerely. You changed your look to surprised. "How would I know?" She turned around and walked away from him a bit. You sigh and closed your eyes. "You didn't told me and you didn't reassured me. I was thinking wrong the whole time and you didn't reassured me, Andrew."

Heading his name coming out from your mouth made his heart skip a beat. He always loved the way you say it. You lick your bottom lip and looked back at him. "Those men flirted with me first, I flirted back out of spite. I knew you were watching me the whole time, I did it out of anger." You confessed. Gosh, you felt terrible, yet you can blame yourself all of it. It's Andrew's fault too. "I know, I'm a jealous man." He confesses. He walks up to you and lays his hand on one of your shoulders. "I wish things were different." You whispered. You can feel tears forming, but you fought back. Refusing to cry again. "It could be, if you give me another chance." He whispered back.

You turned your head and see his eyes. He took off his shades. You formed a small smile and fully turned at him. He rest both his on your waist and kisses your forehead. "I missed you, pretty lady." You slightly laughed at this, blushing from the nickname he first give you. "I don't know if it's a good idea. I have to sort things out. After I left, I've been doing my own thing. I can't leave it just like that." You explained. "You don't have to do this on your own, if you let me, I can't help." He offered. You smile at him and nodded. "I supposed it's not a bad idea. Though, you can support me. The business is mine, you'll have no clue how to run it." Andrew chuckles at this and says; "I can learn, I'm pretty smart. I went to Oxford after all."

You laugh at this, this made Andrew smile. He always found your smile beautiful. "I guess you can. You're lucky I give people a second chance." Andrew was about to kiss you until you leaned away from him. "I'll give you another chance, but you have to earn my trust again. Prove me you're not going to mess things up. Just like I will to you, deal?" "Fair point, well, let's go home. I'll like if you stay over the night. No funny busy, that I swear. I'm a bastard, but a gentleman. You know that." You nodded and cling at his arm. "That you are, come on, my feet are killing me." You two began to walk away, not telling anyone at the party you two are leaving. "Who tells you to wear heels in the first place?"

"I can't stand at things, but one thing I let pain consume me is when I wear my pretty heals. That is one thing I let it pass." Andrew chuckles and say; "You're definitely something else, pretty lady. Though, I admire your determination." You both laugh and continue walking, walking to his house. You're soon home again.
