-Chapter Seven- Not so sweet.
"Ms. Zade, why are you following me?" his deep, husky voice made her frown at him in question.
Kenzie blinked in surprise, her expression shifting from cheerful to slightly defensive. "I'm not following you, sir. I just—"
"Just what?" he interrupted, trying to keep his tone even. "You don't need to walk beside me like this."
She hesitated, then took a step back, realizing how close she had been. Kenzie looked up to match his intense gaze; it was so dark, so deep, making her feel like she was drowning in it.
"What makes you think I am following you, sir?" Kenzie asked, raising an eyebrow in a challenge.
Okay, he's the most handsome man ever, but why does he have to be so annoying? His attitude was so spoiled. He clearly had a habit of picking on everyone around him.
Jungkook narrowed his eyes, taken aback by her defiance. "Because you're literally shadowing me."
"That's literally stalking," he said in a loud, clear voice.
"Stalking?" she retorted back with a chuckle, her eyes holding a kind of challenge that made Jungkook question how many moods his assistant actually had.
"Well, you've been heading in the same direction I have for the past minute..."
"I get it if you want me to drop you home. You just have to ask for it instead of tailing me like this, you following me is kind of disturbing," Jungkook said with a plain chuckle that felt more like a hint of mockery.
Kenzie smiled in his direction, bringing her keys into view as she pressed the unlock button. Jungkook glanced at the car next to him, which made the unlocking sound as its lights blinked.
"Oh, so this is your car?" he asked in a surprised tone.
"Yes, it is, sir," she smiled at him, her pride evident.
Jungkook glanced at the vehicle, taking in its sleek design and polished exterior.
"My car matches my personality, doesn't it? Because I'd be too disappointed if it didn't," Kenzie said, her tone shifting to something unusual, almost taunting—like the kind of banter billionaires used to mock each other.
"You're really bold, aren't you?" Jungkook raised an eyebrow, a smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth.
"Only when the situation calls for it," she replied, her tone playful.
"You're too much of a crude one, Ms. Zade."
She laughed lightly, a sound that brightened the moment. "I'll take that as a compliment, sir." With that, she opened her car door, glancing back at him.
