"You fucking kissed me in front of everyone!" Jungkook snapped, his eyes flashing with anger.
"Yes, and?" she shot back.
"The picture of you forcing your kiss upon me is all over the fucking internet! This has been a fucking scandal for fuck's sake...

-Chapter Forty Two- She leaves with someone.
Melody froze when she spotted him.
"Scott..." she murmured his name like a sweet prayer.
He leaned against her car in the far corner of the dim, empty parking lot. His posture was casual, and he seemed lost.
She took a deep breath, her heart racing for reasons she didn't want to admit. Still, she forced a half-smile and walked over to him.
"You here?" she asked, trying to sound amused and light, but the tremor in her voice gave her away.
She didn't wait for his response and just wrapped her arms around him, holding him close because she hadn't slept well since last night.
Melody didn't mind if there were paparazzi lurking in the bushes. She didn't care if anyone saw. She didn't care about anything.
She just wanted to feel him, his warmth, maybe it was his lips she missed, because the moment she felt his lips against hers, she knew she never wanted any other lips but his.
"Last night you vanished into thin air," she complained into his chest, inhaling his scent. "Grandma said something and...and..."
Suddenly Melody paused; she didn't want to tell him what happened after he left. How her grandmother had presented yet another proposal. A rich businessman she had no interest in.
She didn't tell him she thought about running away. Just disappearing with him. But she didn't.
No matter how much she loved him, Scott was still married. Whether it was real or fake, the title was still there, and the line wasn't completely erased.
"I need your help," Scott said, his voice low and rough.
Melody pulled back slowly, her brows furrowing as she looked up into his usually mischievous eyes.
But today they were just empty.
There was something off about his eyes; they looked swollen with huge dark circles, making her even more worried about his health.
"What kind of help?" she asked, gently smiling at him.
"Will you marry me?"
Her breath caught. Her heart flipped and collapsed all at once. His question made her head spin; this wasn't the first time he had asked her this.
