-Chapter Nineteen- Welcome to my world.
Jungkook's expression remained stern as he walked to his office on the upper floor. The first thing he noticed was Yoongi and Kenzie happily chatting with one another.
Kenzie leaned against his desk, animatedly pointing at the screen of his monitor while Yoongi nodded, his rare gummy smile lighting up his face.
Jungkook felt a pang of annoyance as he poked his cheek. He clearly remembered warning Kenzie to avoid Yoongi unless it was work-related, yet here she was, completely disobeying him—just like always.
Did she not realize that Yoongi had a crush on her since that party night when he first saw her?
Jungkook couldn't help but feel a surge of protectiveness. He didn't want any misunderstandings or complications to arise, especially when it came to someone like Yoongi, who was known for being a bit unpredictable when it came to matters of the heart.
"Hey!" Jungkook called out, trying to keep his tone light but unable to mask the irritation creeping into his voice.
"What's going on here?"
Both Kenzie and Yoongi turned to him, surprise flashing across their faces. Kenzie quickly straightened up, a sheepish smile forming. "Sir we were just discussing the new project."
"Right," Jungkook said, arching an eyebrow. "Looks like you're having a lot of fun with that project."
Yoongi chuckled, clearly unfazed by Jungkook's tone. "Just sharing some ideas. Kenzie has some great insights."
"It's Ms. Zade, Yoongi. She's not your friend here; she's just an employee," Jungkook said in a stern voice, causing Yoongi to frown at him.
"From now on, call her Ms. Zade," he added.
"Yeah, Sir," Yoongi replied, rolling his eyes. Jungkook could sense the sarcasm in his tone but chose not to respond.
"Calling me by my first name isn't a big deal, sir. I don't mind," Kenzie interjected.
Jungkook raised an eyebrow, eyeing Kenzie from head to toe. She looked stunning, like a beautiful diamond; didn't she realize how captivating she appeared while chatting so intimately with Yoongi?
"I prefer to keep things professional in my office, Ms. Zade," he said instead.
"You're clearly misunderstanding. We just thought we could brainstorm a bit and Yoongi was having trouble with the system," Kenzie explained, folding her arms.
"Aw, what a surprise to learn that our great Min Yoongi was struggling with the system," Jungkook replied, shooting a pointed look at Yoongi.
"Why are you so shocked?" Kenzie inquired, her gaze shifting between Yoongi and Jungkook.
