-Chapter Twelve-
Dance with someone other than me.

"What the actual fuck?" Jungkook gasped, unable to tear his gaze away from her. The elegant design and vibrant color made Kenzie look radiant against the backdrop of the garden party.

"Looks like she didn't get the memo about the family event," Yoongi joked, a smirk forming on his lips yet secretly admiring how stunning Kenzie looked tonight.

"Man, your assistant is slaying tonight! Is she single by any chance?" Jimin asked, his admiration evident as he looked at Kenzie.

"Don't you already have a girlfriend?" Hoseok chimed in, making a disgusted face.

"No, bro, it's more like a friends-with-benefits situation," Jimin replied with a smirk, clearly unfazed.

"But this one right here is meant for more than just dating; she's meant to be married," he sighed, dramatically placing a hand over his chest. "To be worshipped for the ground she walks on—damn, she is incredibly beautiful."

"The more I look at her, the more it feels like she lights up the whole room. It's hard to believe someone could be that captivating, you know? It's not just her looks; it's the way she carries herself like she's got this magnetic pull that draws everyone in."

"You are such a womanizer, Jimin," Jin exclaimed, shaking his head in disbelief.

"Gladly I am, but not for this one. For this one, I can be a gentleman as well," Jimin said in awe, his eyes still glued to Kenzie as she laughed with Melody.

Jungkook was still in shock at Kenzie's sudden presence, quickly piecing together that it was likely Melody's doing. She always had a knack for pushing boundaries.

What really had him fuming was the black dress she wore—the very dress he had chosen for Melody. It was meant to be a gift for his sister, not for Kenzie to flaunt at this party.

"Are you kidding me?" he muttered under his breath, feeling a surge of anger. "Melody's going to pay for this."

"Dude, chill. It's not a big deal if she showed up. Almost half the office is here already," Yoongi said, leaning back with a knowing grin. "Let the poor girl enjoy!" He patted Jungkook's shoulder, trying to lighten the mood.

Jungkook let out a harsh breath. "Anything but a poor girl," he muttered, stepping away from the scene to grab himself more drinks.

"I don't understand him. Why is he so annoyed by her all the time?" Yoongi asked Namjoon, who merely shrugged in response.

"Maybe he's just protective," Namjoon replied, glancing over at Jungkook as he poured himself another glass.

"Protective or not, he's making it a bigger deal than it needs to be," Yoongi said, watching as Jungkook downed his drink in one swift motion. "She's here to have fun, and he should let her."
