-Chapter Thirty One-
How obsessed are you with me?

Kenzie sat elegantly among the wealthy women, maintaining perfect posture and a cultivated presence. Today, she was told to dress like a modern-day princess; beside her were Mrs. Jeon and Lady Jeon.

This social gathering was filled with lively chatter, a subtle competition of wealth veiled behind polite smiles and sparkling jewellery.

Kenzie was thankful that after marriage, she wasn't attending any of these, but today again here she was, and this was one of the most aching things to do.

Why was all this social gathering even needed?

It was just a stupid manner of gossiping about every business scandal, along with their personal lives.

"By the way, Kendall, have you heard the recent article?" asked one of the ladies in the gathering, who appeared to be the wife of a wealthy businessman.

"What article?" Mrs. Jeon asked with a polite smile.

"The recent article mentioned the Jeon Family as one of the most virtuous families. They even married their first child to a poor girl. How generous their hearts are," she chuckled.

"Of course, we Jeons don't judge people based on their wealth. We truly have hearts of gold," Lady Jeon added, which made Kenzie laugh with sarcasm.

Mrs. Jeon, glaring at Kenzie, pinched her thigh under the table. Kenzie rolled her eyes and quietly reached for her mobile phone, messaging Jungkook to ask if he would come home tonight.

But once again, like all her other messages, this one was also ignored, which fueled her anger. "What is he? A five-year-old toddler? Can't he even be mature for a moment?" she muttered under her breath.

"Kenzie Zade, right? That was your name before you married Jeon Jungkook," a woman in an emerald dress asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

Kenzie glanced up from her phone, nodded softly, and offered a polite smile, though her heart fluttered uneasily.

"Damn... does she remember me from the past or something? I don't think I've ever met someone like her before in person," she thought to herself.

"Ahh, I remember nearly three years ago, hearing about a girl named Kenzie Kokab Alexander Zade who tragically passed away in a fire incident," the lady sighed wistfully.
