"You are a fucking moron!"

Kassia jumped back as her mother threw a vase. Thankfully it hit the wall behind her, as Rosa intended. She only wanted to put fear into her heart. Not hurt her.

Rosa was angry not an idiot.

This is the reason she didn't want Kassia to go to UCLA.

She had suggested colleges in New York where they lived so she could continue living at home. Rosa would continue to monitor her and make sure she acted accordingly. However, Kassia wanted UCLA.

It was her father's Alma matter they said. LA is a beautiful place they said. Wenda wanted to experience independence.

And like a fool, Rosa had agreed. She had trusted her daughter for the first and last time.

She didn't like the idea of Kassia being in a college so far away anyway so, this was the perfect reason to bring her back.

"Why are you hanging around with weird people," she seethed grabbing Kassia's chin. "I told you last time - we're going back to New York-"

"Mom you're hurting me," Kassia cried quietly but she didn't dare touch her mother's hand. She knew better than to irritate her mother more.

Rosa was not often violent with Kassia but those isolated events made Kassia afraid.

Just the thought that her mother being aggressive... Kassia found it terrifying.

"Rosa, stop," Wenda shouted pulling Kassia behind him. "What are you thinking?! Hitting her like that-"

"You always make me the bad guy," Rosa furiously pointed a finger at his face. "But I'm the one making sure she's doing what she's supposed to- I made her, I'll be dammed if it falls apart now! Where were you?! I want the best for my daughter!"

"That is low Rosa," Wenda scoffed. "You know exactly where I've been- I want the best for my daughter too. Treating her like an animal won't change anything- she's not a kid Rosa! Even if she was, you can't treat her like a rag doll."

Rosa turned towards her daughter with a calmer tone.

"Kassia tell me the truth, did you ask him for it? He said you gave him sign-"

"Don't even finish that... that's not something I can forgive if you say Rosa. Don't you dare tell our daughter that."

Kassia wanted to be anywhere but here.

She felt responsible for her parents arguing. She knew their relationship was only loving on cameras but at least they kept it away from her. Right now, it was all going up in flames before her very eyes.

She had never felt worse in her life.

"We're all going back to New York- I'm not dealing with this. This is done and you better apologise to Javier's family."
