Taemin held Kassia protectively.
And in a way, he was holding her together.
Kassia held on to the arms in front of her feeling like she had to otherwise, she would crumble.
She closed her eyes just focusing on breathing.
Just focusing on the fact that she was there.
Just focusing on the fact that Taemin was there.
But even then, she was still in the moment where the worst almost happened with Javier. She couldn't get out of it... when her eyes closed, it was worse.
"Baby, how are you feeling?"
"I-I... he just... I feel so dis-disgusting- maybe I did this because I wo-"
"You didn't do anything wrong baby."
It wasn't a crime to attend a party with friends and have a few drinks. Men like Javier were the problem.
"B-but I was dressed like that," Kassia whispered holding back tears. "H-he said I was asking for it."
"He said what? I'm going to fucking kill him next time- is he insane?"
Kassia just started crying again.
The room was too hot. Her head was hurting. She felt cheap. She felt embarrassed. She was falling apart.
She couldn't believe it happened to her.
Her heard was beating way too fast. So fast that she started hyperventilating.
She couldn't breathe and she was struggling to say it.
Taemin quickly sat her up. He held her trembling hands speaking calmly to her. His hand resting gently on her cheek to get her to focus on him.
He was terrified but if he got scared Kassia would definitely freak out. So he had to be strong. He had to focus on her.
"Baby, it's okay. I'm right here. You're right here. Just breathe-"
Kassia continued listening to Taemin's voice grounding herself. It was so calming to just look at him. Slowly, her heart rate slowed down. She didn't feel like her chest was crushing her anymore.
Which was a relief.
"Kassia, can you hear me," Taemin asked kissing her forehead. "I'm right here for you."
Kassia held on to Taemin taking slow, deep breaths. ...
Kassia tried to ignore her phone but the ringing was disturbing her. Kassia reached for it just feeling exhausted.
Taemin didn't want her to be awake when she had just gotten to sleep.
"Hello," Kassia answered sleepily and honestly drained. But the voice on the other side made her sit up very quickly
