Kassia snuck past her parents arguing.
Again.
She went to sleep to them arguing and woke up to them arguing. Kassia wondered how long they were waiting to get these things off their chest.
She just really wanted Taemin's calm voice to soothe her right now.
...Kassia stood in the middle of the room.
She didn't know what to make of it yet... It was cleaned out like no one lived there. Ever. Kassia didn't understand.
Where was Taemin?
Kassia tried calling him but his phone wasn't even ringing. And Taemin was the closest thing they had to a technophobe in modern society. He didn't even remember the passwords to his social media accounts.
So that was a no go.
Kassia was just looking around when something on his desk caught her eye.
A single red rose with a note.
I think even you know what red roses mean... I wish it could be more but it was the simplest way to tell you how I feel. I know I have a lot to explain and we have a lot to talk about but, even with no time I want to let you know one thing.
I love you.
As soon as I can, I will call you. I promise. I want you to do your best until then - I miss you already.
Love, Taemin
Kassia started crying right there and then. She felt like this was her fault.
This is not how she wanted to be told by Taemin he loved her. It wasn't fair that he got involved in a matter that was strictly between her and Javier.
She never wanted him to be affected by her problems and now he was. Plus, she didn't know why he couldn't come tell her- everything was just making her extremely anxious.
...Kassia felt like a shell of herself going to class that morning. She didn't even go home after Taemin's dorm she just stood there crying. The way her parents were going at each other, they definitely would not care about her boyfriend right now.
She didn't know what to do.
And now her safe space was gone.
"You liar!"
Kassia felt herself smack against the lockers. She looked at Indigo and Tamera but despite the trembling... Kassia felt another emotion arise.
She felt angry.
People just kept messing with her. And she was sick of it.
"What is wrong with you guys?!"
"Don't play Miss Innocent," Tamera hissed. "You're just a slut! How dare you accuse Javier of rape?! Just admit to being a whore - we were there, we saw you!"
