Chapter 10

(OMG actually made it to double digits XD)

Sonic's POV

I kept glancing at them to make sure they were actually listening.... Oh sweet Chaos I don't even want to know what happened....

Me: "So the plan is.... uh Shads?"

Shadow: "Hm?"

Me: "When are you supposed to meet them."

I saw Shads stop in shock...

Me: "THEY EVER TOLD YOU!?!"

He let out a sigh, obviously I needed to quiet down or he was going to TRY to make me.

Shadow: "He said he would send somebody to get me, and to 'just be packed' whatever the hell he means by that."

I saw Ames nuzzle closer to Shadow... he seemed to be welcome of the affection but his face still looked the same... not interested.

Me: "Tails, buddy, what do you think?"

My little bud looked up from his devices (how does he pack so many?) and smiled big as if he cracked some code.

Tails: "I think their sending Eclipse!"

Shadow and I both groaned.

Both: "Why are you happy about that?"

We both froze and shot a look at one another. The other laughed quietly.

Me: "Jinx."

His face was.... unamused.

Amy: "Shadow, Shadow, Shadow. There now your unjinxed."

Me: "Aw Ames.... your taking the fun out of this."

Tails: "ANYWAYS! If they send Eclipse at least we know what t-"

The was an explosion followed by screams.... oh shit.

Third Person POV

Silver was the first to the battle due to his conveniently already standing next to the explosion.

Shadow immediately paired up with him and the two hedgehog began to fight off....

Shadow: "WHAT THE HELL?!"

He kicked the slimy black creature away.

Silver: "WHAT ARE THESE THINGS?! Ew ew ew ew. Shadow it just touched me."

Blaze: "Why aren't they burning?"

Shadow: "Chaos!"

Silver: "I suggest we run."

Shadow: "BLA-"

Shadow went rolling across the ground as a fist collided with his face. 

Amy: "SHADOW!" 

The creatures disappeared into the hands of the cloaked figure.

???: "Hello. I am Memphis. Memphis Doom."

They looked up to see a carbon copy of Shadow, except his muzzle was pale, his fur was more of and ash grey... his eyes were a serpent like green... and his highlights were a pale green...

Silver: "MEPHILES?!?!"

Memphis: "Who?"

Silver: "This crazy hedgehog without a mouth that looks just like you who helps bring upon the apocalypse and-"

Shadow: "Silver shut up."

Amy hugged the ebony, relieved he was okay. Sonic, meanwhile, let out a chuckle.

Sonic: "Never stay down do you Shads?"

Shadow: "Hmph."

Memphis: "ENOUGH!"

All(except Shadow) jumped at the sudden noise.

Memphis: "I have simply come for Shadow.... and whoever else is willing."

Amy: "I am going with him."

Shadow put him arm in front of her

Shadow: "No she's not."

Amy: "Yes. I. AM."

Sonic: "What do you mean whoever is willing?"

Memphis regarded the blue hedgehog for a moment before looking back to Shadow.

Memphis: "Did father not tell you?"

Shadow: "Oh great. Another sibling I have worry about killing me. Lovely."

Memphis: "Father requested Shadow because our kind is in danger. He needs help. I realize now he probably didn't ask you in the most polite manner."

Shadow: "He threatened to blow up the entire planet and force me to watch."

Memphis couldn't hold back his laughter, a wicked grin appearing.

Memphis: "You know. That sounds just like him!"

He doubled over.

Memphis: "I can't breath HAHA"

Shadow looked at Silver.

Shadow: "I think it is safe to say that even if Mephiles were alive... this DEFINITLY isn't him."

Silver: "MmmmHmm."

Sonic: "Whose Mephiles?"

Shadow & Silver: "Don't worry about it."

The two had a deadpan expression.

Sonic: "Okay so what about him?"

Shadow walked forward and pulled the Ash grey hedgehog to his feet.

Shadow: "I'll go."

Amy: "Me too."

Sonic: "Heck we'll all go! Been awhile since we had a space adventure huh guys?"

Tails: "Unless you count all the times Shadow lost control of his alien side."

Shadow looked down at his feet and scratched the back of his head uncomfortably.

Shadow: "Yeah... lets not."

Memphis: "Great! I'll lead you to the ship! Grab your stuff because you are all coming with me!"
