Eclipse's POV

I woke up, seeing many things.... The walls rotting, Shadow and Mephiles fighting, Olivia stumbling into the battlefield- Wait what?!

I rushed to my feet. huh. Hedgehog form is better for balance... noted. AH! Olivia right!

I rushed outside, hoping I make it in time, she isn't going to survive if I don't-

Ow. I looked around to see all the illusions failing... everything. Mom.... Dad.... our home and the soldiers....

I shook my head, I need to focus. I finally made it outside.

Me: "OLIVIA NO!!!!"

Shadow's POV

I am so fucking tired. 

Mephiles: "Do you surrender brother? I really do not wish to fight you, however if you don't stand with me.... then your my enemy."

I shook my head. Trying to think of a solution.

Me: "Mephiles.... I don't want to hurt you. Please. We can all live on Mobius... together!"

He snarled and rolled his eyes.

Mephiles: "We don't belong there Shadow! Turn around! Everything I built to bring you home is falling apart! Look at us! We don't belong there!"

I can see where he's coming from... also how long did it take to build all that shit?

Me: "I'm sorry, but I already have a home."

I turned around to help Sonic get unstuck from some black goop.

Eclipse: "OLIVIA NO!!!!"

I turned my head to see my brother Impale his own beloved.

I was in shock. She was right behind me. If she hadn't-

Me: "Why?"

Olivia: "Heh.... I don't really know myself honestly... I just.... I just know you'll look after her."

Her????

Mephiles: "O-olive? BABE!!"

I saw the the blade disappear as he grabbed onto her.

Mephiles: "No... no no no no! WHY DID YOU SAVE HIM!?"

He held her close.... 

Me: "Let me-"

Mephiles: "DON'T TOUCH HER!!!"

Me: "I am trying to heal her dumbass!"

He stared at me for a second before handing her to me with a nod.

I stared at her limp form, pulling out my chaos emerald and began to close her wound.

Then it began to hurt like hell.

Me: "AGH! Shit!"

Mephiles: "What? What happened?"

Me: "I don't think she is dying from that wound... there's something else."

I felt his pull her away again as I felt a hand on my shoulder.

Eclipse: "I am so sorry Mephiles."

He was crying. I pulled him down and into a hug as he sobbed. Shit. This isn't his fault... I'm the one who knocked him out.

I expected Mephiles to feel the same, but all I saw in his eyes was rage. Cold, blood-thirsty rage.

Mephiles: "Prepare to meet you mak-"

Silver threw a boulder at him.

Me: "SILVER I FUCKIN LOVE YOU!!"

I saw him point to the now free Sonic.

Silver: "HAH! Hear that Sonic! I'm the favorite!"

Sonic: "You just saved his life like once! I have saved him dozens of times!"

These two.....

I have to get three idiots out of here now.

Eclipse: "Nah... I'm the favorite."

He said this while climbing on my back. 

Eclipse: "We need to go."

Me: "We can't just leave him like this."

Eclipse: "Why not? He left you like th-"

He stopped short and I dropped him.

Me: "What does that mean?"

I saw his navy blue ears droop and his red eyes look down.

Me: "Fine. You can tell me later."

The rock began to move off of Mephiles, he looked pissed.

Then a hammer hit his head.

I turned to see the one and only-

Amy: "HANDS OFF MY BOYFRIEND YOU CREEP!"

He... somehow was out-cold.

Me: "Rose?! How? I thought- Knuckles had- HOW?!"

Sonic: "I think he is trying to ask how you got away from Knuckles."

Me: "Yeah that."

Amy: "Well-"

Knuckles: "AMY!!! COME BACK HERE- oh hey guys."

I watched as the other came out into the massive opening we were now in, and realize just how far we went while kicking Mephiles' ass.

Silver: "Blaze!!!"

Sonic: "TAILS!"

Cream: "Hey Mister Shadow."

Me: "Hey kid."

I pat her head gently. Before turning to my incapacitated brother.

Me: "Eclipse, we should... maybe check on him....."

I heard him get up and start to walk beside me. When we reached him, I noticed his quills and mouth had returned to normal, he looked weak.

Me: "Hey dumbass. How ya feeling."

Mephiles: "Like absolute shit."

Eclipse: "You look like shit too."

I heard a weak laugh between the two, it seemed strained.

Mephiles: "Can... can I see your chaos emerald, just for a second?"

Me: "How about we wait till we mend these bridges."

I helped him up. 

Mephiles: "Please? I just wanna look at it."

I held up the emerald a good distance from him, just to be safe.

Only to feel his hand shove something into my back and him to disappear with the emerald... I looked around but I couldn't-

Eclipse: "BROTHER!"

I looked up, and to my own disbelief I saw Mephiles falling... falling fast.

Me: "Shit."

I tried to teleport but something blocked me.

Me: "ECLIPSE GET THIS THING OUT OF ME!"

I felt him tug on the thing stabbing into my spine but by then.... it was too late.
