Chapter 26

Third Person POV

Aurora: "So you all constantly are fighting to protect your planet from threats on a horrifying scale, fight amongst each other, .fight threats to protect other planets.... am I missing something?"

The woman looked nervously between the young adults and teenagers.

Tails: "We've also fought in space a few times!"

Aurora looked as if she might faint.

BD: "BUT I am sure they know what they are doing!"

Shadow: "HA! As if! Last time I saw you I took you down myself."

Aurora gasped.

Aurora: "YOU ATTACKED OUR SON!?"

BD: "I tried to recruit our son to me destroy the planet of those vermin that took him away in the first place. There's a difference."

The white hedgehog glared at her husband. Obviously concerned.

Shadow: "Memphis mentioned you needed my help.... so can we just get to that?"

BD: "Of course.... follow me."

The whole team stood. Following the taller ebony down a dark hallway to a small room with maps.

BD: "There are many planets that have life, many of which are peaceful... some not so much."

A digital appearance of a planet appeared.

BD: "Right now, we are on Mitori, home planet to our people. You mobians are from mobius.... but these monsters...."

A massive lizard like creature appeared on the hologram, I was covered in armor and blood.

BD: "These are the Lizarians. A cruel people who like to ransack planets and then destroy them completely. Leaving without so much as a survivor. We have been at odds with them for fourteen hundred years."

Sonic: *whistles* "So what do you want us to do?"

BD: "I want you to help us take them down, as you mobians should also have a grudge anyways..."

Amy: "Why should we?"

BD: "These are the creature responsible for killing off the Echidnas."

Knuckles POV

Me: "THEY WHAT?!"

All eyes turned to me but I ignored them.

BD: "I know Chaos was responsible for a majority.... but they came in and killed most of the defenseless."

I clenched my fists and teeth, these creatures would pay.

For many years I wondered how many of my tribe had died, how multiple other tribes had faded away. Now I had the answers I required and would finally be able to avenge my people.

Me: "You can count me in then!"

Shadow: "No, your not coming."

I glared at the hedgehog.

Shadow: "At least not yet, wouldn't be smarter to send a small patrol and get more information?"

Tails: "I agree with Shadow!"

I turned to my fox friend. Him, I would trust.

Tails: "After all, we have no idea what weapons they have or what they are capable of!"

Black Doom nodded his head understandably.

BD: "Then you two will lead a small envoy of my troops to scout ahead and return. You may take two of your companions-"

Shadow: "Rose."

Tails: "Rouge."

Rouge: "I get me, but...."

Me: "Why Amy?"

Shadow tossed a red chaos emerald to Amy.

Shadow: "Her invisibility. Sure she'll have to the shadows.... but she will be one of our biggest assets."

I nodded. It made sense why he would take these two... but I still wished to go.

Tails placed a hand on my shoulder, it is sometimes hard to believe how much we all have grown, especially him.

Tails: "Don't worry Knuckles, we'll keep you updated."

Silver: "Umm, what about the rest of us?"

BD: "Training, it'll begin at dawn. I want to see your strengths, as well as your weaknesses."

With that we all watched the tall hedgehog walk off leaving us all to our thoughts...

Training huh? Nothing I can't handle.
