Chapter 28

Shadow's POV

Why are they all staring at me?

We left the training arena in silence and I felt Rouge grab me by the arm and begin to drag me down the hall.

Me: "Rouge?! Where are you taking me?"

Rouge: "Look in the mirror dumbass!"

We stopped and she shoved me into a bathroom.

I stared in disbelief. My quills were... a bit longer now. Is that seriously why she is freaking out.... drama queen.

Me: "What is you deal Bat?! I look normal... minus the massive wings in my spine." -_-

Rouge: "WHAT?!"

She pulled me out the second I opened the door and dragged me towards the rooms, closing the door behind us.

Rouge: "Sweetie it happened again... where are those damn pills...."

I sat down. I know Rouge, and I know if I say anything contrary she will more than likely steal something of mine until I listen to her.

Rouge: "Okay space squid, here."

She handed me two small pi- oh.

I took them without question.

Rouge: "You really need to control that."

Me: "You don't think I've tried?!"

We sat in silence, words failed... they always did.

Me: "Rouge.... do... do you think I want to hurt people?"

I didn't know how to feel on this topic, she's told me that every time I have taken that form, somebody usually dies.

Rouge: "No, I don't. I am honestly more worried of you hurting yourself. Each time I notice you get more and more ..... I dunno tired?"

I took this in and took a deep breath.

Me: "Rouge, I think the only way we are going to solve this is if we work together, or force it through.... you know, like we usually do."

She laughed and nodded.

Rouge: "I kinda wish we brought Omega."

Me: "Why so he could destroy everything?"

Rouge: "Nah, so you an talk to somebody other than you reflection if you look good or not."

Me: "HEY!"

We both laughed. I appreciate her, she's been my best friend for six years now.... and she honestly is family to me at this point.

I saw Rose sitting alone.... odd.

Amy: "SHADOW!"

 She ran over and embraced me in an instant, so fast that I nearly fell over.

Rouge: "He's fine sweetheart, just needed a break."

Me: "Hey Rose."

I wrapped my arms around her and rest my head against hers.

Memphis: "Awwwww. Liv you seeing this?"

I shot him a look, earlier he had introduced me to his fiance, Olivia..... she hates me.

Olivia: "Yeah... whatever."

Silver: "Why are you so grumpy?"

Memphis: "Yeah why you so grumpy?"

Olivia: "Your brother hates me...."

Me: "Wait.... I thought that.... I am so confused."

Rose giggled at my confusion and grabbed my arm, pulling me away from everybody.

Sonic's POV

Okay it's official... they're.... dating.

Knuckles: "I think it's nice those two are together now... Shadow is less likely to kill us."

Me: "Is that seriously what your thinking?"

I looked at the echidna in disbelief. He could not be serious.

Knuckles: "They also make each other happy. It's a nice change of pace. Shadow's definitely mellowed out these past six years huh?"

I nodded. 

Truth be told, Shadow has definitely changed in these past years. I have even grown to call him my friend, but now.... I feel kinda betrayed.

He went for Amy.

Tails: "Yeah, Shadow even lets me work on his rocket shoes for him sometimes! He lets me help with his bike, he even taught me how to do a Judo flip!"

Me: "Maaayybe avoid using that last bit of info."

We all laughed thinking about seeing Tails trying to Judo flip somebody.... I would honestly pay to see that.
