Third Person POV
They took a seat in a small sitting room surrounded by books, tension so thick you could feel it in the air.
There were massive portraits of black, white, red, and many assortments of fur patterns... all hedgehogs with the same crown.
There was an empty space, ready.
~~earlier~~~
Shadow: "I don't understand..."
BD: "Then let me help you understand.... with this"
He held up a small star like orb..... images flashing fast.
Shadow: "What is this?"
He hesitantly listened to the elder hedgehog's words.... curiosity getting the better of him.
BD: "A memory orb.... if the holders memories are altered or removed.... it restores them. It was a gift from my father. Now I give it to you."
Shadow watched as the orb was placed in a pouch and given to him.
BD: "Use it when you are ready for answers, don't hold it for more then thirty seconds or you'll end up with a murderous headache."
Shadow: "So Eclipse with show up if I hold this too long?"
Eclipse: "HEY!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~Back to Present~~~~~~~~~
The young hedgehog stared at the bag feeling the others staring at him.
Sonic: "Sooo are you gonna use it orrrrr?"
Shadow: "I don't know."
His head fell into his arms on the small wooden table.
Shadow: "This could give me the answers to everything....."
Amy: "....But?"
Shadow: "This could also change everything!"
Rouge: "Maybe, just do these first thirty seconds now.... he did say to so it between long intervals...."
He glared at the bat but nodded his head.
Shadow: "Okay..."
He took the orb out of the bag.
Shadow: "What n-"
He froze.
His red eyes and red strips glowing in reaction. The orb glowing in recognition.
Sonic: "Shadow?"
No response.
Rouge: "Shadow?!"
....
Amy" SHADY?!?"
Tails: "I don't think he can hear us...."
They sat and exchanged looks.
Knuckles: "Okay... somebody needs to-"
They all froze at the sound of cracking bone.... and turned to see wings bursting out of the black hedgehog's back.
Rouge: "I forgot he was an eldritch horror."
Amy: "ROUGE!"
Several new eyes appeared on his fore head and he groaned in pain as the orb his the ground and he held his head.
Shadow: "I never.....*huff* want to *pant* do that again."
His breathing was shaky and his wings folded against him.
Sonic: "Ummmm.... what the heck happened to your tail?"
Shadow: "My what!?!"
He snapped his head around to see his tail had indeed grown to about his own height. It had a red barb-like area at the end.
Shadow: "Shit.... anybody have a knife?"
