Third Person POV

A large trumpet sounded around the castle, signaling the beginning of the feast as multiple darkilings and mobians carried dishes from the kitchen.

Shadow sat with Amy to his left and Memphis to his right, next to Memphis was some silver-ish hedgehog and it seemed her right arm was metal. Next to Amy was Eclipse and next to him was Sonic. Across from Shadow was his father, and on the left of his father was Silver, Blaze, Tails, and Cream. To Black Doom's right was an empty chair, Knuckles and Rouge.

Sonic: "Woah. That.... is a lot of food."

He gave a 'challenge accepted face'.

The doors opened.

In walked a beautifully dressed white hedgehog. She had serpent green eyes and a warm smile on her face. She wore a deep emerald covered dress, jewels sewn into it's hem. The diadem on her head sparkled from the light and she stood at a stature taller than Amy, but shorter the Sonic and Shadow.

BD: "Aurora, darling!"

He immediately left his seat to greet his wife, expecting a kiss...

She judo flipped him.

Aurora: "HOW MANY?!"

BD: "What?!"

Aurora: "How many times have I told you?!"

BD: "Told me what?! WOMEN USE YOUR FUCKING WORDS!!!!"

She held him in a tight arm lock her knee into his spine.

Shadow leaned towards Amy and whispered quietly.

Shadow: "Whooo. Go Mom."

Amy giggled.

Aurora: "WHo-"

She froze as she made eye contact with Shadow, completely dropping her husband, and began to walk towards the table. The younger hedgehog looked away, not knowing what to do or even say in this situation.

Amy whispered to him this time.

Amy: "Go to her."

He listened without a second thought.

Shadow: "I know that you probably-"

Aurora: "Menala?" (meh-naw-luh)

Shadow looked at her, the strange name registering in his head as another piece fit.

Aurora: "Shadow? My little boy?"

She practically yanked him into a tight embrace, holding his head to her chest.

Aurora: "Oh my, Menala!"

She repeatedly kissed the top of the dark boy's head as she gently cried holding him.

BD: "Yeah, we found him-"

Aurora: "Nobody want to hear you right now."

Black Doom paled at his wife withering gaze.

Sonic: "Again, I see the family resemblance."

The woman stood, gently letting Shadow go.

Aurora: "I know you might not remember much but-"

Shadow: "I um, actually remember a bit now...."

She saw him give his father a glance. She. Looked. Pissed.

Aurora: "YOU GAVE HIM A MEMORY STAR?!"

BD: "I WAS HELPING!"

Aurora: "DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY SIDE EFFECTS COME WITH THOSE?! ARE YOU TRYING TO TRAUMATIZE HIM?!"

Sonic: "Honestly ma'am, Shads is pretty much so traumatized I don't think there is much left that can scar him."

Tails: "Yeah, especially considering the Ark."

Rouge: "Or dying."

Knuckles: "Or thinking he had to destroy his entire race."

Amy: "Or Eclipse plotting his murder."

Silver: "Or helping me stop his other brother cause the apocalypse two hundred years from now."

Amy: "Or watching his best friend die."

Cream: "Or the awful nightmares!"

Blaze: "Or.... huh. I think that's it... oh yeah. Or the fact that he constantly has to fight Eggman and deal with his past manipulations."

Shadow: "Or how about the fact that I can literally have wings rip my spine basically, OR how about the fact that I literally was a guinea pig for GUN! Or that I was Gerald's test dummy that he tried EVERYTHING on?!"

The Dooms looked upon the group in horror.

Sonic: "Like I said.... he's kinda fucked up."

Amy: "By the way... what's a 'Menala'?"

Aurora looked at the pick female fondly.

Aurora: "It means little star. It was what Shadow's father and I called him most of his childhood.... until the incident."

She smiled sadly and looked at Amy and the others.

Aurora: "Who even are you people?"

Sonic: "We're a team."

Shadow: "Most of them are annoyances, a few of them aren't."

Aurora noticed Amy giggled as Shadow made eye contact with her.

Aurora: "What is your connection to my son?"

Eclipse: "Mom, we have been trying to get that answer this whole time. Get in line."
