The stage lights dimmed, signaling the end of another performance. Yang Jungwon, ENHYPEN's leader, stepped backstage, his breath still heavy from the adrenaline. The fans’ cheers echoed faintly in his ears, a distant reminder of the energy they just shared. He could feel the sweat trickling down his neck, but his heart was still pounding, not from the performance, but from something deeper.

“Good job, everyone!” he called out, turning to his members who were equally exhausted, but still smiling. They exchanged high-fives and congratulatory nods, their bond stronger than ever after another successful night.

But as the others moved to their dressing rooms, Jungwon lingered behind. The euphoria of the stage had given way to a strange quietness. He found a secluded corner backstage, away from the bustling staff and the noise. It was a place where he could finally let his guard down.

Jungwon closed his eyes and leaned against the wall, letting out a long sigh. Being the leader wasn’t always easy. The weight of responsibility often pressed heavily on his shoulders, more so on nights like these, when the expectations felt almost too much to bear.

He thought of his members, their smiles, their laughter, and the trust they placed in him. He wanted to protect them, to lead them well. But sometimes, in moments like this, he wondered if he was doing enough.

A soft knock on the wall startled him. He opened his eyes to see Sunghoon standing there, his expression gentle but concerned. “Hey, you okay?” he asked, his voice low, knowing well that Jungwon needed his space but also that he couldn’t leave him alone.

Jungwon offered a small smile, grateful for his friend’s presence. “Yeah, just… catching my breath.”

Sunghoon nodded, stepping closer. “You don’t always have to be strong, you know. It’s okay to lean on us sometimes.”

Jungwon looked down at his hands, fingers tracing the lines of his palm. He knew Sunghoon was right, but being the leader meant more to him than just leading. It meant being the pillar his members could rely on. Still, he appreciated the reminder that he wasn’t alone in this.

“Thanks, Sunghoon,” Jungwon finally said, his voice softer than before.

Sunghoon smiled, giving him a pat on the back. “Anytime. Now come on, let’s join the others. They’re probably wondering where their leader went.”

Jungwon nodded, feeling a bit lighter. As they walked back to the dressing room together, the noise and laughter of the other members filled the air. And in that moment, Jungwon knew that no matter how heavy the burden of leadership felt, he had a team by his side—a family. And that made all the difference.
