The morning sun peeked through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the dorm. But for Sunoo, this morning brought no comfort. He was jolted awake by the sound of raised voices and the unmistakable tension that hung in the air. With a heavy heart, he stumbled out of bed, still groggy from sleep.
As he made his way to the living room, the commotion grew louder. Jay’s voice cut through the stillness like a knife. “Sunoo, how could you? Is this how you repay us? Spreading fake news about Heeseung and Wonwong?”
Sunoo blinked in confusion, struggling to shake off the remnants of sleep. “What are you talking about?”
Jay’s face was flushed with anger, his eyes blazing. “Don’t act innocent! Did you really hate Heeseung so much that you’d destroy his career with false rumors? And now you’ve dragged Wonwong into this too?”
Sunoo’s heart raced. “I don’t understand. I didn’t post anything. I swear!”
Jay’s frustration erupted. “If Heeseung has to leave because of this mess, you will too. You’ve ruined everything. Do you even understand how serious this is?”
Sunoo felt a pang of fear and confusion. He tried to process Jay’s words, but his mind was clouded with disorientation. “I didn’t do it. I don’t know who did, but it wasn’t me.”
Jay’s eyes were filled with an icy resolve. “You’re lying. If Heeseung has to face consequences, you’ll face them too. No one will ever forgive you for this.”
Sunoo’s world seemed to collapse around him. With a heavy heart, he rushed out of his room, desperate to find Heeseung and explain. His steps felt unsteady, his mind racing with worry. When he reached Heeseung’s room, the sight before him was heartbreaking. Heeseung was seated on the floor, his face buried in his hands, his body shaking with sobs.
“Heeseung, please,” Sunoo pleaded, his voice trembling. “I didn’t post the fake news. You have to believe me.”
Heeseung’s tear-streaked face looked up, filled with pain and mistrust. “How could you do this to me, Sunoo? I thought we were close. I thought you were my friend.”
The room was filled with silence, save for Heeseung’s muffled cries. Sunoo felt a deep ache in his chest, the realization that his words seemed to fall on deaf ears crushing him further. The other members watched from the door, their faces etched with judgment and disappointment.

The days that followed were a dark blur for Sunoo. The once-welcoming dorm had become a place of isolation and coldness. The members’ attitudes towards him were a stark contrast to the camaraderie they once shared. Sunoo’s attempts to explain himself or seek comfort were met with indifference or outright hostility.
The online backlash was relentless. Fans who once supported him now turned their anger and scorn in his direction. Comments flooded in, each one more venomous than the last. *Why is he even in the group?* *He ruined Heeseung’s career.* *He doesn’t deserve to be here.* Each notification on his phone felt like another dagger in his heart.
Sunoo withdrew into himself, his self-esteem shattered. Meals were a struggle; he would pick at his food and often skip meals entirely, unable to stomach the thought of eating. He spent most of his time in his room, avoiding the other members and crying silently into his pillow. The only sound in the dorm that seemed to echo his pain was the relentless hum of his own despair.
---
The emotional turmoil began to take a physical toll. Sunoo’s isolation deepened, and his sense of worth continued to plummet. He began to engage in self-destructive behavior, finding an outlet in the pain of self-harm. The cuts on his wrists were a desperate cry for help, a way to cope with the overwhelming sadness that consumed him.
