The sun was shining brightly, the sky a perfect shade of blue as ENHYPEN piled into the van. The air was buzzing with excitement—today was their long-awaited day off, and they were heading to an aquatic park. After weeks of intense rehearsals and back-to-back performances, this break was exactly what they needed.

Sunoo sat quietly by the window, listening to his members chatter about which rides they were most excited for. He couldn’t help but smile at their enthusiasm, but inside, he felt a gnawing sense of unease. He had been looking forward to this day off too, but there was one small problem—one that he hadn’t quite figured out how to deal with.

He couldn’t swim.

It wasn’t something he had ever mentioned to the others. After all, when did it ever come up? They were always so busy with their schedules that the idea of swimming never really crossed their minds. But now, with the entire day planned around water slides, wave pools, and lazy rivers, Sunoo felt like he was headed straight into the deep end—literally.

As the van pulled into the parking lot of the aquatic park, the other members practically leaped out, eager to get started. Sunoo followed behind, trying to maintain his usual cheerful demeanor. He could do this, he told himself. He could stick to the shallow areas, maybe just lounge by the pool or stick to the dry activities. No one would even notice.

“Come on, Sunoo, hurry up!” Ni-ki called, grabbing his arm and pulling him toward the entrance. The youngest was practically vibrating with excitement, and Sunoo couldn’t help but laugh despite his nerves.

“I’m coming, I’m coming,” Sunoo replied, forcing a smile.

Once inside, the group quickly changed into their swimwear and headed straight for the biggest water slide in the park. It twisted and turned, towering over the other attractions like a giant serpent. Sunoo’s stomach flipped just looking at it.

“Who’s ready for some thrills?” Jake asked, grinning as he pointed to the top of the slide.

“I am!” Sunghoon shouted, raising his hand. The others quickly joined in, their excitement contagious.

Except for Sunoo.

He hesitated, trying to think of a good excuse. “Um… I think I’ll sit this one out. I, uh, need to put on more sunscreen,” he said, holding up a bottle he had grabbed from his bag.

Jungwon gave him a curious look. “Sunscreen? We just put some on.”

“Yeah, but, you know… reapplication is important,” Sunoo replied, mentally kicking himself for sounding so unconvincing.

Heeseung shrugged. “Okay, but don’t take too long. We’ll meet you at the bottom!”

As the others rushed off, Sunoo breathed a sigh of relief. That was close. He found a shaded spot near the entrance of the slide and sat down, pretending to apply more sunscreen. He watched as his friends climbed up the stairs, their laughter echoing through the park. A pang of guilt tugged at his chest. He didn’t want to feel like he was holding them back, but he also didn’t want to confess his secret. What if they teased him about it?

After what felt like an eternity, the others finally came down the slide, their faces flushed with adrenaline. They were all talking over each other, recounting their experiences as they regrouped around Sunoo.

“That was insane!” Ni-ki exclaimed, his eyes wide with excitement. “You have to try it, Sunoo!”

Sunoo forced a smile, shaking his head. “Maybe later. I’m not really feeling it right now.”

Sunghoon frowned, noticing the tension in Sunoo’s voice. “Are you sure? You’ve been sitting out a lot. Is everything okay?”

Sunoo’s heart skipped a beat. He could feel their eyes on him, waiting for an explanation. He hadn’t expected them to notice so quickly, and now he was cornered. “I’m fine,” he said quickly, waving them off. “I just… I don’t feel like getting wet right now.”

Jake narrowed his eyes, clearly unconvinced. “We came to an aquatic park, Sunoo. Everything here is wet.”

The others chuckled, but Sunghoon remained serious, his gaze locked on Sunoo. “Is there something you’re not telling us?”

Sunoo bit his lip, the weight of their concern making it harder to keep his secret. Finally, he sighed, deciding that he had to lie.

“Sunoo, come on!” Ni-ki called out, motioning for him to join them at the wave pool. The giant pool was packed with people, the waves crashing against them in rhythmic pulses. It looked fun—but it also looked intimidating.

“I’ll be there in a minute!” Sunoo replied, stalling for time. He stood by the edge of the pool, watching as the waves rolled in. His heart pounded in his chest. He didn’t want to ruin the day for everyone by admitting he couldn’t swim, but the idea of getting in that pool terrified him.

The others were already splashing around, calling out to each other over the sound of the waves. Ni-ki, being his usual playful self, decided to bring Sunoo into the fun whether he wanted to or not. With a mischievous grin, he snuck up behind Sunoo, who was distracted by the sight of the waves.

“Gotcha!” Ni-ki shouted, laughing as he gave Sunoo a light push toward the pool.

Sunoo’s eyes widened in shock as he stumbled forward. Before he could react, his foot slipped on the wet surface, and he plunged into the water. Panic immediately surged through him as he flailed, trying to keep his head above the surface. But the waves were relentless, and without the ability to swim, he quickly found himself in over his head—literally.

The water closed in around him, muffling the sounds of laughter and fun above. Sunoo’s chest tightened as he struggled to breathe, his arms and legs thrashing wildly. He could feel the water pulling him deeper, and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t find his footing.

Above the surface, Ni-ki’s laughter died as he realized Sunoo wasn’t coming back up. At first, he thought Sunoo was just playing around

Heeseung imediatly rushed to him and when he finallygot him out of the water, Jay called one of these men in charge of the security.

When Sunoo finally woke up, every member rushed to and hugged him. Ni-ki was criying, blaming himself because he was the one who pushed him. Sunoo told him that it was okay because he didn't know. He then started to apologize for not telling them sooner.
