The tension in the room was thick, palpable, like a storm brewing on the horizon. It wasn’t supposed to be like this—not when they had worked so hard to come together as a group. But tonight, everything had gone wrong.

It started with a simple disagreement during practice. Jake had been frustrated—frustrated with the choreography, frustrated with the pressure, and frustrated with the constant critiques from the other members. He had snapped, his words sharper than he intended, and soon, the argument spiraled out of control.

Jungwon, the leader, had tried to calm things down, but Jake wasn’t in the mood to listen. Sunghoon had chimed in, his words adding fuel to the fire, and soon enough, the entire group was involved. Voices were raised, accusations were thrown, and the bonds they had worked so hard to build felt like they were unraveling in real-time.

“Jake, you’re not even trying to understand where we’re coming from!” Sunoo exclaimed, his usual gentle demeanor replaced by frustration. “You’re being selfish!”

“Selfish?” Jake’s eyes flashed with anger. “I’m the one who’s always trying to keep up! I’m doing my best, but it’s never good enough for any of you!”

“Maybe if you listened for once instead of just reacting, we wouldn’t be in this mess!” Ni-ki shot back, his voice sharp with annoyance.

Jake clenched his fists, feeling cornered, overwhelmed. “Fine, if that’s how you all feel, maybe I’m better off on my own.”

The words hung in the air, heavier than any of them anticipated. The room fell into a stunned silence, and Jake, breathing hard, stormed out of the room before anyone could stop him.

The rest of the night passed in an uneasy quiet. No one knew how to fix what had been said, and no one wanted to be the first to break the silence. They went to bed with the fight still weighing on their minds, hoping that in the morning, things might look different.

---

Morning came, but the tension from the night before lingered like a fog. The members got ready for practice in silence, the usual chatter absent as they moved around the dorm like ghosts.

“Should we wake Jake up?” Sunghoon asked quietly as they gathered their things.

Jungwon hesitated, his expression troubled. “I don’t know… Maybe he needs some time to cool off. He was pretty upset last night.”

“But we’re a team,” Sunoo said, his voice soft. “Leaving him behind doesn’t feel right.”

Ni-ki looked down at the floor, guilt gnawing at him. “He’s probably still angry… Maybe it’s better if we give him some space.”

In the end, they decided to leave without him, convincing themselves that it was for the best. They would talk to him later, once everyone had calmed down. With heavy hearts, they left the dorm and headed to practice, the weight of their decision pressing down on them.

---

Jake woke up to an unsettling silence. The dorm, usually filled with the sounds of his bandmates getting ready, was eerily quiet. He blinked, disoriented, and checked his phone. The screen was filled with missed notifications—texts from the members, reminders of their practice schedule—but no one had woken him up.

He frowned, sitting up in bed, the events of the previous night rushing back to him. The fight, the harsh words exchanged… He had been so caught up in his anger that he hadn’t thought about how it would affect the others. Now, the guilt gnawed at him, making his stomach churn.

He got out of bed, quickly getting dressed. He needed to apologize, to make things right. But as he moved through the dorm, he realized with growing panic that he was alone. They had left without him.
