The Enhypen members were abuzz with excitement as their vacation time approached. After a grueling schedule of promotions and performances, the break was a welcome respite. Each member eagerly planned their time off, looking forward to reconnecting with family and enjoying some well-deserved relaxation.

Ni-ki, however, was not as enthusiastic. Unlike his bandmates, who had warm and supportive family environments, Ni-ki harbored a deep-seated fear of returning to Japan. His family situation was fraught with tension; his father, in particular, was abusive. The trauma from his past made the idea of going home unbearable. Despite his internal struggle, Ni-ki was determined not to burden his friends with his problems, so he kept his fears to himself.

When the vacation began, the other members flew out to reunite with their families. Ni-ki, on the other hand, chose to stay behind in South Korea. He told his hyungs that he preferred to use the time to rest and catch up on personal projects. Though his friends were understanding of his choice, they remained unaware of the true reason behind it.

The group's manager, who was aware of Ni-ki’s family situation and respected his decision to stay behind, made arrangements for him to stay at a comfortable hotel in Seoul. The manager ensured Ni-ki had everything he needed and provided a safe, supportive environment for him during the break.

One sunny afternoon, Ni-ki decided to take a stroll around Seoul to clear his mind and enjoy the fresh air. He wandered through the city, appreciating the calm and respite from his usual hectic life. The vibrant city offered a sanctuary from his inner turmoil, but the peace was short-lived.

As Ni-ki walked through a bustling shopping district, he decided to grab a coffee from a nearby café. The café was a cozy refuge from the busy street outside. Lost in thought, Ni-ki was trying to process his feelings about his situation when he suddenly saw a familiar figure across the street. His heart dropped as he recognized his father walking toward him. The sight was both shocking and terrifying.

Ni-ki froze, his body paralyzed by fear. The fear he had been trying to escape from now seemed to confront him head-on. His father, seemingly oblivious, was engaged in a phone call and did not notice Ni-ki at first. Ni-ki’s instinct was to flee, but his legs felt like they were made of lead. He knew that if he faced his father, he would have to confront his fears and past traumas directly—a prospect he was not prepared for.

Desperately seeking to avoid confrontation, Ni-ki ducked into a nearby alley. The alley was dark and narrow, a stark contrast to the lively street outside. He pressed his back against the wall, trying to steady his racing heart and calm his panicked breathing. From his hiding spot, he watched as his father continued to walk by, unaware of his presence.

The minutes felt like hours as Ni-ki waited for his father to leave the area. The fear and anxiety were almost overwhelming. He felt a deep sense of vulnerability and isolation, realizing that despite being in a city far from home, his past had caught up with him in the most unexpected way.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Ni-ki cautiously emerged from the alley. He checked to make sure his father was no longer in sight and quickly made his way back to the hotel. The once comforting environment of the hotel room now felt oppressive, overshadowed by the fear and anxiety that had resurfaced.

Back at the hotel, Ni-ki tried to distract himself with various activities, but the encounter had left him feeling deeply unsettled. The thought of facing his father again or having him show up at the hotel filled him with dread. The isolation of his situation only heightened his sense of unease.

As the members returned from their vacations, they were eager to catch up with Ni-ki and share their experiences. They noticed that Ni-ki seemed distant and preoccupied, his usual bright demeanor replaced by a quiet sadness. Despite his attempts to maintain a brave face, the worry among his friends grew.

One evening, as they gathered for a meal in the hotel dining area, Heeseung noticed that Ni-ki seemed particularly withdrawn. After the meal, he gently addressed Ni-ki’s change in behavior.

“Ni-ki, you’ve seemed off lately. Is everything okay? You know you can talk to us if something’s wrong.”

Ni-ki hesitated, his heart heavy with the weight of his recent encounter and the ongoing fear he had been harboring. The safety and support of his friends made him feel more vulnerable than ever. He realized that hiding his fears was no longer an option.

With a deep breath, Ni-ki decided to open up. He shared the story of his difficult family background, the fear of returning to Japan, and the unexpected encounter with his father. His voice wavered as he spoke, tears brimming in his eyes.

“I was so afraid,” Ni-ki said, his voice trembling. “I didn’t want to come back here because of my past, and seeing my father... it felt like everything was crashing down on me. I didn’t want to worry you guys, but I couldn’t keep it inside anymore.”

The room fell silent as the members listened to Ni-ki’s confession. The gravity of the situation was clear, and the members felt a mix of shock, guilt, and deep sympathy. Jay and Sunghoon exchanged guilty glances, realizing the impact of their earlier jokes about Little Space and the misunderstanding they had created.

“I’m so sorry, Ni-ki,” Jay said, his voice filled with regret. “We had no idea what you were going through. We should have been more supportive.”

Sunghoon nodded in agreement. “Yeah, we were thoughtless. I can’t believe we didn’t see how much you were struggling.”

Heeseung, placing a comforting hand on Ni-ki’s shoulder, said, “Ni-ki, you’re not alone in this. We’re here for you, and we want to help you through this. It’s okay to lean on us.”

The members gathered around Ni-ki, offering their support and understanding. They reassured him that he didn’t have to face his fears alone and that they would stand by him no matter what. They made it clear that they were there to support him in any way they could.

The experience brought the members closer together and deepened their bond. Ni-ki felt a sense of relief and comfort, knowing that his friends were there for him. The support of his bandmates helped him navigate the challenges he faced and gave him the strength to confront his fears.

As they continued with their activities, the members made a conscious effort to be more understanding and supportive of each other. Ni-ki’s bravery in sharing his struggles allowed them to better support him, and the experience strengthened their connection as a group.

Ni-ki’s journey was far from over, but with the unwavering support of his friends, he felt more equipped to face the challenges ahead. The incident had been painful, but it had also led to a deeper understanding and a stronger sense of unity within the group.
