Hearing that old lady speak, Meera's eyes grew moist. Observing Meera's silence, Suryansh, who was shocked by what the old lady had just said, noticed her lower her head and respond,

"Areee... nahi amma, aap galat soch rahi hai. Main bas ek naukar hoon, hukum sa ke neeche kaam karti hoon bas."

("Oh no, Amma, you are thinking wrong. I am just an employee. I work under Hukum Sa")

Upon hearing her words, the old lady replied,

"Aap ke chehre ke tej aur lakshan dekh ke toh aisa hi lagta hai. Kher, maaf karna beti, lekin jis bhi ghar mein aap shadi karke gayi hain, woh bohot hi kismat wale hain. Aap bilkul Devi Maa ka roop lagti ho. Beti, hamesha khush raho aur sada suhagan raho."

("Looking at your bright face and expression, it seems so. Well, forgive me, daughter, but the house where you have married is very lucky. You look exactly like a goddess. Daughter, always be happy.")

Saying this, she went to get the other dishes. Despite the old lady's kind words, Meera managed to smile, but tears lingered in her eyes. Her bright smile masked the pain she was holding back with her tears.

Suryansh, noticing her expression, felt confused, wondering whether she was happy or sad. In reality, Meera felt incredibly alone and was deeply hurt by the old lady's words. If everything were fine in her married life, she might have felt truly happy. However, the truth was very different, and it caused her even more pain.

The annadaan ended around 4 o'clock. Meera had been standing for too long, serving rice to everyone, and now she felt very tired and hungry since she hadn't eaten anything since the morning. Once everything was completed, she approached Suryansh, who was busy talking with Dhruv Mital.

"Mr. Rathore, if everything is done, I will leave now," she said.

Hearing her, Suryansh turned to her and replied,

"Go and have your lunch first. After that, Dhruv will drop you."

Meera was about to protest, but his gaze made her hold her tongue. After having lunch, she waited near the main entrance gate of the temple for Dhruv. When a car stopped in front of her, she approached the front door and was about to open it when the back window slid down, and Suryansh's voice came out.

"Don't. Come to the back seat."

Hearing him, she said,

"No, Mr. Rathore, it's okay."

Before she could complete her sentence, Suryansh added,

"My personal guard is sitting there, that's why I'm asking you to sit here."

Meera glanced at the tinted glass of the front door for a moment, then went to sit with Suryansh. She felt nervous sitting with him for the first time and the other two men, which made her even more uncomfortable. To ease her anxiety, she opened the window on her side of the door for some fresh air.

Suryansh was busy checking his phone when Meera said,

"Dhruv sir, can you please drop me at the orphanage near our company?"

Hearing this, Suryansh looked at her, and Dhruv glanced at the front mirror for a second before responding, "Okay."

Once the car reached the orphanage, Meera turned to Suryansh and thanked him. Hearing her, he just nodded. Seeing this, she got out of the car and walked towards the orphanage. As her figure disappeared, Suryansh said to Dhruv,
