CHAPTER-34. DEVIL

It was the night when someone entered her room in deep silence. The person slowly approached the bed and looked at Meera, who was sleeping peacefully, curled up on one side of the bed. Observing her cute face, he smiled and then lay down on the other side, gazing at her beauty. After a moment, he began to speak, carefully observing her every facial feature with a small smirk. 

"Today, you did a good job, Jaan. It seems like you're starting to take my words seriously. Not bad... But I'm sorry for hurting you like this, Jaan. I can't control my feelings when I see you with someone else; it pains my heart so much."

As he said this, he gently caressed her hair and lightly kissed her forehead. Feeling some warmth nearby, Meera stirred in her sleep and curled into his side, burying her face in his chest while tightly gripping his shirt.

Seeing this, he couldn't control himself and smiled at her while continuing to stroke her head softly. After a moment, he gently hugged her, trying not to disturb her deep sleep, and closed his eyes, keeping a small smile on his face.

In the morning, Meera rubbed her eyes in half-sleep and slowly scrolled around in bed. Suddenly, she sensed something cold touching her arm. Opening her eyes, she squinted through her blurry vision to see what it was. When she finally focused, she sat up in bed, staring wide-eyed at a red rose lying next to her. Her breath quickened at the sight of it.

Slowly, she picked up the rose, staring at it with a blank expression. After a moment, she walked straight to the balcony and threw the rose out. She stood there for a while, lost in thought, before retreating to get ready for work.

It felt as though she had lost her ability to feel; it was as if that day was the last day she had everything. She cried, feeling as if she had lost everything, and today, she felt like a stone, disconnected from her own emotions when it came to him.

It's been weeks since everything happened, and Vedansh and Meera have become friends. They have grown even closer since that day, but have never crossed their boundaries, always maintaining a professional demeanour when it comes to work. However, their closeness and friendly nature toward each other haven't gone unnoticed by the other employees.

During this time, Meera shared everything that had happened with Nidhi. After hearing the details, Nidhi was very furious with Aditya and expressed her frustration toward both of them, releasing all of her pent-up emotions. Meera knew that this would lead Nidhi to become more protective and tense regarding her. 

However, Nidhi's protectiveness feels insignificant due to the long distance between them. Despite this, after learning everything, Nidhi began to call Meera regularly to ensure that she didn't feel alone.

After completing her scheduled work with Vedansh, she took a little break to get some fresh air and thought about visiting a café near the office. When she stepped out of the elevator while talking to Nidhi, someone bumped into her, causing her phone to fall to the ground. Before she could pick it up, the other person started shouting at her loudly, saying,

"What the hell? Can't you see? Don't you have eyes? You almost ruined my dress! You bitch"
