As she entered her room, Maansi followed her in and closed the door behind her. She noticed Meera's sad expression and asked,

"Are you okay, Meera?"

Meera nodded but took a long breath in response. Seeing this, Maansi sat next to Meera and said,

"What happened?"

Without any emotion, Meera replied,

"I ended everything. I gave Mr. Khanna the divorce papers and told him to submit them. I don't know what will happen when he finds out about it..."

Maansi shook her head and said,

"I think it was meant to end like this. Don't be sad, Meeru; nothing will happen. Just don't stay sad in front of your mother. You know she will find out, so smile and come out quickly."

Hearing this, Meera nodded. As Maansi left the room, Meera whispered to herself,

"You don't know him, Maasi. He's a monster. I have a bad feeling about what's happening; I don't think it will end like this."

As she said this, she closed her eyes.

On the other side of the hall, Prakash's parents were speaking to Vidya and Mansi.

"Actually, you know that Prashant is going abroad in a month, so it would be better if the marriage could happen within a week."

Hearing this, Mansi and Vidya exchanged worried glances. Prashant's mother, noticing their tension, reassured them,

"Don't worry! We don't want a grand wedding; as long as it's simple, that's good enough."

Meera, who was sitting on the other side of the sofa with Prakash, chimed in,

"But we don't even know each other very well..."

With a smile, Prakash's mother responded,

"Oh, beta, you two have your whole lives to get to know each other—don't worry about that." She then turned to Vidya and added,

"But please, it would be nice if you could have the apartment ready by the wedding day so they can start their married life together there."

Hearing this, Meera looked at Vidya and Mansi in shock and surprise, but didn't say anything. .....

It has been one week, and as the groom's side wanted, Meera's wedding is tomorrow. She was sitting in the middle of her bed, which was filled with bags, dresses, and other items. Some jewellery and dresses were carelessly strewn across her bed. On either side of her, a couple of cousins were sitting and applying henna to her hands. Since it is a very simple and small wedding, only close relatives of the family are attending the ceremony. The wedding is scheduled for the evening, with the haldi function taking place tomorrow morning.

In another room, a man was sitting in a chair, focused intently on his computer in the dark. When his phone started to ring, he frowned and answered it. On the other end, the caller said,

"Sir, I have news that Madam is getting married. I received this information as I approached her house."

Hearing this, the man's face flushed with anger. Just as he was about to respond, someone opened the door to the room, and he glared at Vishal. Turning back to the caller, he said,

"I want every damn detail within an hour."

He then hung up, stood up, and gestured for Vishal to come closer.
