After the wonderful weekend, I went to the office as usual, hiding all signs of my marriage. As I was about to sit in my chair, my department manager's assistant came to me and informed me that she wanted to see me. I was confused at that moment, wondering why she wanted to see me so early in the morning, but then I set aside my thoughts and went to meet her in her officeAs I asked for her permission to enter her cabin, she allowed me in and gestured for me to sit in the chair. Once I was settled, she asked, without any expression,

"Ms. Meera Sharma, right?"

Upon hearing her, I replied,

"Yes, ma'am."

She continued,

"Ms. Meera Sharma, you have received a promotion. However, if you accept this offer, you will need to continue your work in Rajasthan at the main branch. You have to relocate there. If you are not ready for this, you can decline the offer; there is no pressure on you."

Hearing this news, I was surprised and a little happy because, after a long time, I finally felt some happiness due to this promotion. However, moving to another city was a big challenge for me, so I was a bit confused at that moment. On the one hand, I'm happy about the promotion and really want it; I need a break and want to get away from here. On the other hand, I'm scared about moving to a new city.

After a few seconds, I asked her,

"Ma'am, can I take some time to think about it?"

Upon hearing this, she said,

"Okay, then you have two days to think about it and inform me of your decision."

I smiled at her and replied,

"Thank you, ma'am. I will inform you."

With that, I left her cabin.

During lunchtime, I met Nidhi and shared everything about my promotion. At first, she was very happy to hear the news, but when I mentioned that I would have to move if I accepted the promotion, she felt sad. I knew she wasn't ready to miss me, but I explained that I also wanted to leave for a change and some fresh air; I wanted to forget everything.

Hearing my thoughts, she convinced herself to be happy for me. She said she would support me in every decision and understood my situation very well. When she said this, I felt an overwhelming sense of joy that I can't quite explain. I truly appreciate having a friend like her, who stands by me in every situation, whether it's good or bad. She gives her hundred per cent to this friendship, and that makes her a special person in my life.

When she heard that I wanted some change, at the same time I was also nervous about moving to a new place. She encouraged me to be strong and live life happily while accepting the change. We also decided that she would help me find information about Mr. Khanna, and I would meet him once we learned more about him.

With the same full energy in the evening, I went to my manager's office and told her that I was ready to accept the promotion. Upon hearing this, she smiled with satisfaction and confirmed that she would send me all the information about the facilities, work, and other details. She also mentioned that I needed to move within one week. I agreed and left the office.
