Chasing Shadows || Draco Malfoy x OC

Year 3- Ch.1

Céline Everhart comes from a pureblood family. Though not one of the sacred twenty eight, her family certainly were well known in the Ministry of Magic. Her father, Charles Everhart, being high up in the department of Magical International cooperation and her mother, Genevieve Everhart, though not working in the ministry she is very well respected as the Transfiguration professor at Beauxbaton Academy of Magic.

Céline transferred to Hogwarts her third year of school due to a situation at Beauxbaton in her second year. She was feeling all sorts of emotions thinking about her new journey at Hogwarts and only hoped that it would be better than her time at her previous academy.

She looked at the Hogwarts express nervously, holding her trunk with one hand and griping the hem of her cardigan in the other. She felt a hand gently squeeze her shoulder and looked back to see her father look at her with not much expression on his face.

"Céline, chin up and do not let others look down on you. You make sure you do well in your classes and behave appropriately." Her father told her. Charles had attended Hogwarts when he was young and was sorted into Slytherin. He was an exceptional student from what he told his daughter. After the incident at Beauxbaton he had sent a letter to the headmaster, Dumboldore, to see if Céline could be transferred to Hogwarts.

Her mother, Genevieve, went to school at Beauxbaton Academy of Magic when she was younger being sorted into Ombrelune and being loyal to her school became a professor there years after graduating.

She did not agree with the decision of her changing schools. She believed that Céline should continue forward and deal with the problem head on and that it was shameful to just run away from it. There was a big argument between her parents that night, her father ultimately winning the argument.

Her mother did not accompany them on the trip to Diagon Alley nor her departure that day, giving the excuse that she needed to prepare for the new school year at the academy.

Céline nodded "yes father."

Before turning back to the train and walking onto it, starting down the corridor, trunk in tow, searching for an empty compartment. She found one fairly quickly, since it was still early for departure. She opened the sliding door to the compartment and walked in.

She plops down her heavy trunk on the empty bench and releases a heavy sigh. The breath she held from both having to carry her heavy luggage and being around her father.

She takes a step back and takes out her wand and mumbles the levitation spell to her trunk. Lifting it to the storage shelves above her head. She finally tucks her wand to the side of her pleated black skirt and pulls out a small palm sized book out of her tan colored oversized cardigan.

She sits down and ties her long waving dark brown hair into a loose ponytail and starts reading her book waiting for the train to depart. 

She was startled back into reality with the compartment door slides open. She looked up to see a platinum-blonde hair, beautiful gray-blue eyed boy wearing an all black tailored suit stepping in. Followed by two other guys who were both taller and more on the fuller side with buzz cut hair. They looked like the blonde boys' body guards . He barely spares her a glance as he goes to sit by the window, which happens to be across from her. The other two sitting near the door, fully glared at Céline.

Her gaze followed him all the way to the seat, then she looked towards the now open compartment to see the corridor now filled with students looking for their friends and empty compartments. She had been so immersed in her book she hadn't noticed the hour pass by.

A second later the train whistle blew and the Céline felt the trains slow start moving forward.

She notices the two guys looking at her and as she was going to say something a couple more people step into the compartment. A guy with chocolate brown hair and hazel green eyes and a girl with a short raven hair bob.
