Céline headed to the enclosure with Daphne and Tracey. They walk a long way at the edge of the forbidden forest, until the castle was no longer visible.
They arrived to a large enclosure. There was a large tent that had been pitched up. It made Céline nervous know that there were dragons just on the other side of that tent.
They followed the students to the stadium finding a seat with a good view. What they were looking at was a large clearing
After fifteen minutes, there was a loud whistle. Suddenly, a large silvery blue dragon was brought into the large clearing. It went towards a large nest of eggs. Céline squinted her eyes and noticed that one particular egg was different from the others. It was a beautiful golden egg.
Out of nowhere, came a familiar booming voice, "The first champion to face their task is Hogwarts champion, Cedric Diggory!"
Céline's heart dropped, as she saw emerging from the other side of the enclosure, Cedric. "Please be careful." She chanted to herself. The dragon was on high defense, protect her nest. Her eyes were fixated on Cedric, who was slowly moving towards the dragon. This went on for about 10 minutes.
Cedric suddenly transformed a rock on the other side of the clearing. The rock turned into a Labrador, which caught the attention of the dragon. As it was distracted, Cedric took the opportunity to make his way towards the nest of eggs.
"Ooh smart move on Diggory's part." Mr. Bagman commented.
Just as Cedric was about to reach the nest, the silvery beast turned its attention on him again. Most students clasped their hands over their ears, when a deafening roar erupted from the its throat. Then, from the dragons snout a jet of blue flames shot out towards Cedric.
Céline shot up from her seat, gasping.
"Did it get him?" Daphne asked worried, squinting her eyes to try and see better.
"Clever move, too bad it didn't work." Said bagman. "That was a narrow miss."
Cedric, with one hand to the side of his face, bolted towards the egg nest.
"Oh! He's taking a risk, this one!" Shouted Mr. Bagman excitedly.
Just then Cedric leaped forward and snatched the large egg from the nest. Just then the stadium erupted into a deafening cheer at the same time as the Dragon let out a roar. The dragon handlers immediately came in to subdue the silvery-blue dragon and take him away.
Cedric walked out of the clearing back towards where he came from. She looked to her friends and told them that she would be back, she just wanted to make sure he was okay.
They waved her off already knowing what she would be doing. She made her way towards the stairs. As she started down the stairs, she thought she heard her name being called so she looked behind her, only to bump into something hard. When she looked forward, she saw it was Draco.
"Oh I'm sorry, Malfoy." She said.
"Where are you off too in such a hurry?" He said as he rubbed his chest from the impact. There was a slightly annoyed tone to his voice.
"Oh.. Cedric just finished his task.. I was going to— where were you?" She could help but ask. If he was just coming up, that meant he wasn't there to watch the first person.
He smirked, "Why does it matter to you?"
She frowned at him, "Why are you acting like that? You know, you've been really snarky these last two weeks, that is, when I do get to see you, and I don't know what I've done to earn it."
