The Malfoys were at the front doorstep. Of all the people who could show up, they were the last ones on Céline's list.
"Lucius," Her mother greeted, "Narcissa it 'az been too long." He looked behind them and saw Draco standing behind them with stoic expression. "Oh, I see you 'ave brought young Draco wiz you." The three Malfoys entered the foyer.
Céline's eyes haven't been able to move away from Draco since him and his family appeared before them. His icy gray-blue eyes moved around the interior of the manor, before they landed on Céline. There was something swirling in his eyes as he looked at her, but his face remained unreadable.
It had only been a little over a month since she last saw him, and even in that time he had grown taller and his jawline was a bit sharper. His eyes moved away from her and onto her parents and she could have sworn that his gaze darkened when he looked at her father.
Céline was pulled back to reality when she heard her father clear his throat. She looked at him and he was staring at her, his eyes saying a lot of things his mouth wasn't. She quickly looked at the Malfoys with a small smile.
"Hello, Mr. Malfoy. It's good to see you again, Mrs. Malfoy." Céline said politely. She still felt uncomfortable with Lucius standing there, but at that moment, her father was more dangerous than anyone in the room.
"Let us go to the sitting room." Céline's father said, before looking back to Céline. "Go take young Draco to the library, or show him to your room, while the adults go and talk."
Céline knew it wasn't a suggestion as his tone may have sounded. "Yes, father." She walked over to Draco, passing his parents, she raised her hand to touch his forearm. "Actually, there's a couple new favorite books I have, that I want to show you."
He stiffened a little, he wanted to stay with his parents, because he didn't like that her father insinuated that he was a child with his phrasing. But he felt the slight tremble of Céline's fingers on his arm. He nodded and the two started up the grand staircase.
They walked down the corridor before she stopped in front of a door. When she opened it. He walked in and realized it was her bedroom. Her bed was in the center of the room, but against the back wall. Next to it on the right were two tall bookcases filled to its max capacity.
Along the right wall were two large windows. One of them, the one closest to the books had a nook with cushions and pillows. Next to that in between the two windows, Céline had a small desk neatly organized.
Draco looked to the other side of the bed to the left wall where he saw a full length mirror next in between two doors. His attention was back to Céline when he heard the door click behind them. When he turned around to look at her, he was almost knocked over by Céline throwing her arms around his middle.
He was completely taken aback by her sudden behavior. His arms hovered around her shoulders unsure of what to do, but he felt his cheeks turning heating up.
"Céline." He started.
"Y-you have no idea... how relieved I am to see you." She whispered, her voice shaking with emotion. After hearing that, before he could think twice, he wrapped his arms around her. It was only then, that he felt how much her body was trembling.
They stood there for a moment in each other's arms, until she pulled away. When Draco saw her face again, her true emotions were showing. She looked exhausted. The sparkle she always had in her emerald green eyes, the same sparkle that always drew him in since the first time he saw her, was missing.
Now seeing her in the better lighting of her room, where her curtains were fully open, he noticed how thin she had gotten, her cheeks were slightly hollowed, and the glow she had on her skin and long dark brown hair was gone.
