The last week flew by quickly with the hustle and bustle of the Yule Ball. Céline was only able to see Cedric a few times that week during meal times, which she didn't mind, since she was busy teaching Harry and Ron to dance.

Soon it was Christmas morning, Céline had woken up early to go take a shower, knowing that the bathrooms will get busy later on.

Once she returned to her dorm room, her roommates were already gathered in the middle of the floor, sitting on pillows and blankets, with their piles of gifts.

Daphne looked up at her best friend with a smile, "there you are. Merry Christmas!" She said

"Merry Christmas." She smiled at them sitting down in between Daphne and Pansy.

"You're just in time. We're going to start opening our gifts." Tracey said.

The girls began opening their presents. Pansy recieved a small silver compact mirror from Daphne, a hair pin from Tracey and a scarf from Céline, amongst others from her parents and friends.

Daphne received a pair of earrings from Céline, a leather bound notebook from Tracy, and a quill from Pansy. Her parents also got her a new cloak and Blaise had gifted her a pair of earmuffs.

Tracey received a necklace from Daphne, a new book from Céline, and a beautifully intricate bookmark from Pansy. She had opened her gift from her parents the night before.

Céline opened her gifts, Daphne had gotten her a pretty new hair brush, Tracey had gotten her a new book as well, and Pansy had given her, her favorite chocolates. Harry had given her a cream colored scarf, Hermione gifted her a new poetry book, and Ron s gotten her some fluffy earbuds earmuffs.

She then saw a familiar emerald green box in the pile. She lifted it and carefully pulled on the silver bow. Once opened she was surprised to see a beautiful necklace, with white pearls evenly placed around the dainty silver chain and in the middle was an emerald green gem.

It matched perfectly with her favorite set of hair pins, that were gifted by the same person. She saw a little slip of parchment on the side and when she opened it, she read the neat, dark green handwriting:

Joyeux Noël

D.M

"Is that from Cedric?" Daphne asked excitedly, leaning over to see the note. She looked at it confused, "D.M? As in Draco?" She asked.

Pansy's head snapped to their direction, frowning. "Draco gave you that?" She asked, looking down at the beautiful necklace.

Céline looked at them confused. "Yeah... why?" She shrugged. She put the note back in and closed the box. Pansy now looked furious and she sprung up and stomped out of the room. "I don't understand what the big deal is... didn't everyone else get something. "

"Well... I know if it's a big deal to most, but—"Tracey said glancing at the door Pansy just left from.

"Draco's never given anyone a gift that wasn't his parents... at least that we know of." Daphne said cutting her friend off.

Tracey had seen the necklace before she closed the box, she thought it looked familiar. "That necklace... looks a lot like your hair pins. Did Draco get you those too?"

Céline instinctively reached up to her hair where she normally wore the hair pins. "Yeah... he gave them to me last year..."

Daphne stared at her for a moment, before a smile slowly crept up on her face. "Interesting..." she simply said.

Céline narrowed her eyes to her, "what's interesting? It's like me giving you something. It's not a big deal."

"Right.. right, of course. It's what friends do." Daphne said, holding her hands up in surrender, still smirking.
