Many things happened that night, Céline danced for a bit with Cedric, saving a couple of dances with her friends as promised. She had gone to see if she could dance with her favorite golden trio, but Ron flat out refused being in a sour mood. Harry did dance to one song with her, though awkwardly, but they still had fun and laughed. She was going to dance with Hermione, but she looked like she was busy enjoying herself with Krum.
After a while, she went back to Harry and Ron, who were no longer with their dates, she asked where Hermione was.
"No idea." spat Ron.
Céline looked at him quizzically and then Harry, who just shook his head as if saying to not ask.
"Well, I wanted to see if she wanted to dance..." Céline said looking around to see if she could spot her, but she was nowhere to be seen. Though, she did see Krum with his other Durmstrang peers.
"I'll let you know if she shows up again, and tell her you're looking for her." Harry said. She looked back to him and gave him an appreciative smile. She glanced at Ron again who was glaring off into the distance and decided to not say anything. She walked back over to Cedric, who was with his friends.
He grabbed her hand and started leading her away towards the entrance hall. "You want to take a walk in the garden?" He asked. She smiled and nodded, she had been wanting to take a look of the outside, when she heard that there were fairy lights.
When they walked outside, Céline shuddered as the brisk cold air hit her bare skin. Cedric shrugged off the jacket part of his robes and placed it over her shoulder, then taking her hand as they walk out to the garden, passing the rose bushes that had little fairies laying on them, illuminating the area around them with their twinkling lights. The dark sky was covered in stars and the half moon still somehow shown brightly above them. They continued walking, until they were in a more secluded area of the garden. Only the sounds of the rustling leaves from the light wind surrounded them.
"Are you having fun?" Cedric asked.
"So much fun." She smiled at him, "I haven't danced in a while, so this has been so nice. Especially being able to spend most of it with you." She blushed.
His cheeks turned a bit red, either from her words or from the cold, she couldn't tell. "I feel the same way. Being able to relax after figuring out what's inside the egg. You know when I first opened it and it almost blew my eardrums. It sounded like a banshee." He said cringing thinking about the egg.
"You already figured it out?" Céline said surprised. And he never told her. Though, she supposed that he's not required to tell her anything about it.
"Yeah not too long ago, though." He answered simply, not giving anything else out. She decided to pester him about it, and let it go. His hand swept his hair. She noticed the watch and pointed towards it.
"Oh how nice, you're wearing it... I mean of course you are, your father gave it to you." She said stumbling over her words.
He chuckled, "Of course, you see, this wonderful girl fixed it for me, after I had accidentally broken it. It was so kind of her and it meant a lot, so I feel like there's a bit more meaning to it now." He nudged his arm against hers.
"I'm glad..." she said shyly, barely containing her smile. "Did you parents like your gifts to them?"
"Yes! They loved it, thank you for helping me with picking them out. I even mentioned it to them and they send you their thanks as well." Said Cedric.
Céline paused for a moment, registering what he said. He told his parents about them, their relationship. She supposed it was probably obvious because of the article that came out a couple of months ago, but also, he's talked to them about her.
