"You know, when you said we were going on a trip I thought there would be more driving involved, or maybe a plane ride?" Calypso noted, dragging her wheeled suitcase behind her with her backpack on her back and her duffle bag at her side.
"That's what magic's for." Hecate chuckled.
"Yeah, but if we can just teleport back and forth why are we bringing so much shit?" Calypso scoffed.
"Because I can't teleport." Hecate answered.
"And I'm not going to waste valuable magic teleporting forgetful kids back and forth." Reza grinned, as she summoned her magic as she drew the arcane gate on the floor. "Are you ready?"
"I've never teleported before. Is it a lot? I hear it can be nauseating." Calypso confessed.
"Not the way Reza does it." Hecate smiled, giving Calypso a side hug. "We just stand here and wait. Close your eyes, you won't even notice until the sound changes."
Calypso nodded and buried her nose in Hecate's neck as she waited for the change. Hecate gave her sister a thumbs up and Reza finished the gate and her incantation.
Calypso's eyes were shut too tight to notice the bright flash. However she paused as the peaceful sound of the room was replaced with the gentle sound of birds chirping and a gentle breeze blowing. She raised her head curiously before her eyes widened at the sight of the mansion before her.
They were standing in what was basically a large cul de sac that stopped at the front steps to the large, stone looking manor. Where they stood was a small raised platform in the center of the cul de sac which was covered in arcane runes and sigils, likely specifically for teleportation magic. On either side of the road were large flower bushes of a countless different number of flowers that Calypso had never seen before and many she had.
To the left and right were two smaller paths that led off to the surrounding grounds but were blocked off by black metal gates that continued behind the hedge wall on either side of the road. Through the gates Calypso could see beautiful gardens on either side.
There were three steps before the front entry area before the front door, where a large number of plants were sitting in large pots and others hung from the ceiling, almost giving the appearance of a jungle or dense forest with the number of plant life surrounding the grounds. The front door was a large double door with full size glass windows for walls on either side of the door, allowing Calypso to see into what was a spotless interior.
"Holy fuck Katy, this is nuts." Calypso noted.
"Actually, this is Nemi's house, and where we'll be staying for the next three months." Hecate explained.
"Where we'll all be staying for the next three months! Nemi separated our rooms well enough but I swear to God if I catch you two fucking somewhere public-"
"Gross." Hecate shivered. "Not that I wanted or needed to hear that from you in the first place, but mind your own business Reza." She scoffed before gently taking Calypso's arm.
"This place is crazy." Calypso confessed.
"Are you ready to go inside?" Hecate smiled.
"How is she not worried someone will break the windows and break into the house?" Calypso asked.
"The windows are bullet proof." Reza answered. "Honestly I could probably punch it with everything I have and it'll only crack." She chuckled like it was some kind of an inside joke, or like she had already attempted it once before.
"Why does-" Calypso stopped herself. "I don't know why I'm so worried. I should probably just accept it at this point." Calypso sighed. "Where can I leave my things Katy?"
