Hecate was grateful to magic. Otherwise she would have had to make the drive back on leather seats with soggy underwear, and she knew it would only cause her pain. They returned the vehicle to the staff garages and found the gardens devoid of the usual servants and a different set of faces were working the grounds.

They bowed politely at them before returning to their work, though Calypso couldn't tell if they were working the grounds or patrolling it as they seemed to simply be looking around and walking the grounds themselves rather than cleaning. Though several stopped to pick at things in the flower bushes.

"Are these still groundskeepers?" Calypso asked curiously as they made their way back towards the building.

"Technically." Hecate answered with a nod. "But later in the day they check the perimeter seals to make sure that the building is safe. They should be checking them now."

"Do your eyes bother you during the sunset?" Calypso asked curiously.

"Yeah, but it's at my back so I'm fine." Hecate chuckled. "I'm honestly pretty excited for lunch. Watching you eat fish has me peckish."

"Sorry about that. Eating in front of you I mean."

"Hey, at least you had fun." Hecate chuckled.

"It was a lot of fun." Calypso smiled. "I'm excited to see what happens next. I had a lot of fun exploring the lake with you."

"I did too." Hecate smiled. They headed into the mansion where they could hear voices from the dining room where they made their way over. As they stepped into the room they could see as each member of the divine family was now sitting at an empty table talking and laughing with one another. Hecate noticed that neither Nemi, nor Reza was at the table.

As Hecate and Calypso entered in, they smiled warmly at them. "Welcome back." Nike teased.

"Nemi hasn't woken up yet?" Hecate asked, glancing about and not seeing her at the table before the two of them took their seats.

"Nope." Eris chuckled. "Hypnos won't let her wake up." She looked towards their brother at the other end of the table, still wearing his pajamas.

"She stayed up well into the day yesterday to greet us all. I'm only helping her return to her normal schedule." Hypnos answered.

"And Reza?" Hecate questioned.

Nyx scoffed and Devin rolled her eyes. "It's not that bad." Devin assured her, placing her hand on Nyx's shoulder.

"Anytime that Devil shows up it's bad." Nyx retorted.

"Melisande?" Hecate questioned.

"She showed up a few hours ago." Eris explained.

"You can't blame her." Eros added. "The Devil is in love with our lovely sister."

"Our 'lovely sister' can pick a better mate." Eris growled.

"You know that's not how it works." Eros narrowed his eyes.

"Are they actually mated?" Calypso asked.

Everyone turned their heads to Eros who just leaned back in his chair with a smile getting everyone to groan in annoyance. "He won't tell us." Eris growled. "With how he defends them I wouldn't be surprised."

"I defend unmated lovers as well." Eros explained. "All love deserves a chance. It isn't fair to assume it won't work out. After all, they suffered much together."

"Melisande made Reza suffer with her. She wasn't given a choice." Nyx growled.

Hecate stood back up with a sigh. "I'll go talk to them."
