"Are you guys good?" Nyx laughed as she made her way over with Devin, Nuada was sniffing around the reeds curiously as Hecate and Calypso stepped out of the water with the latter back to her human form.

"I'm a little wet." Hecate answered with a smile.

Devin rolled her eyes and reached for Hecate, pulling the water off of her body and out of her clothes before depositing it back in the pool as Calypso did the same for herself. "Lovers quarrel?"

"I wouldn't call it a quarrel." Hecate shrugged. "I'm just annoying her since I knew she wouldn't mind the dip."

Calypso rolled her eyes with a scoff. "She's trying to get me to tell her about Reza and Mel's soul mark."

Nyx and Devin both blinked at Calypso before exchanging glances, then looking back at Calypso. "Soul mark?" Devin asked curiously.

"Mermaids and Sirens can see a person's Soul Mark. It's sort of our way of finding our mates compared to how Vampires, Succubi and Werewolves do." Calypso chuckled.

"Wait... so you know?" Nyx asked. "How have I not heard about this?"

"You hate everything that has to do with the ocean." Hecate responded with a chuckle.

Nyx glared. "I do not. I don't like the ocean, but Sirens and Mermaids have nothing to do with him."

"Regardless. You can see their mated bond... or lack thereof?" Devin asked, gently nudging Nyx.

Calypso blinked, realizing she backed herself into a corner before looking at Hecate then back at the parents before her. "Um... Yes... But I don't. I have rules. I don't tell people-"

"Oh no." Nyx waved her off. "I mean, yeah, of course I want to know. But only because I want to make sure she's safe. I can't force her, or anyone else, including you to tell me. If I could, I would have made Eros tell me years ago." Nyx chuckled nervously.

"I'm glad you have no plans on pushing me." Calypso returned the nervous smile.

Nyx let out a sigh, sensing the tension. "Look Calypso, I want to be perfectly clear so there's no misunderstanding between us okay? I do not hate you. I hate the water, and the big guy who controls the water. Even if you are one of his creations you're not responsible for his mistakes. You are more than welcomed in my family okay? Yes, I would give anything to know that my daughter is with her destined person, but I also want to respect their boundaries. Especially considering how rocky their relationship has been so far. But judging by what we just saw today, I'm hoping things are on the right track now."

"I-I never thought you hated me. I figured if you did then you would not have allowed us to date, but you all have been super welcoming. I just... I want to get along with everyone and if I go telling Reza's secret then that's stepping on her boundaries and I don't want to burn any bridges with her." Calypso answered. "Plus, I always promised myself when it came to Soul Marks I wouldn't tell people unless they asked me."

"And you're right. You are absolutely right and you shouldn't tell any of us." Nyx continued, her nervous smile opening into a more genuine one before she glared at Hecate. "Even if they are your person."

"That's what we were 'quarreling' about." Calypso responded before also glaring at Hecate.

"Katy." Nyx warned.

"I'm just teasing her."

"You need to know when to stop." Devin rolled her eyes.

"I knew she wasn't going to tell me." Hecate shrugged. "I didn't think I took it too far." She looked back at Calypso. "If I did, I'm really sorry. I thought you wouldn't mind being in the water, but I also didn't know my parents were nearby. I'm sorry."
