Heh... the song for this is "The Memory Remains" by Metallica.

The sun rose over Jade Mountain, lighting up the sides in a beautiful way for those trekking up its slopes. The wind was blowing, forcing the clouds to weave around the tip of the mountain.

Starflight stumbled forward as he accidentally ran into a small rock in front of him. A female NightWing quickly turned around and caught him as he fell.

"Are you alright?" Fatespeaker asked as she picked him back up, making sure he wasn't hurt.

"Yes, Fatespeaker," he said, embarrassed. He froze rapidly, an image appearing in his mind—of himself with an awkward smile and a green cloth tied around his eyes. He held still, trying to get the image to come back, but nothing happened... just darkness. Fatespeaker noticed the look on his face. "It happened again, didn't it?"

Starflight broke his concentration, sighing as he nodded in confirmation. He took another step forward, this time stepping over the rock.

"I still think you're crazy for not letting Sunny heal your vision..." Fatespeaker said as she continued leading him up the mountain, looking back every now and then to make sure Starflight wouldn't run into anything.

"I told you—" Starflight started but was cut off by Fatespeaker.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," she said, mimicking his voice. "While my vision was gone, I saw almost more than I ever had with my actual vision," she said sarcastically.

Starflight winced at the memories. He kept getting visions that he didn't like, and he never bothered telling his friends about them, particularly the fact that he thought he was having visions of the future. A vision of a "shadow dragon" kept popping up along with the moons being destroyed.

And also...

Another image appeared in his head: Fatespeaker staring behind her, watching Starflight, letting him see the rock in front of him and allowing him to step over it before he tripped.

A power he never knew he had before.

Starflight remembered the moment he found out about the power vividly. He had just woken up after the now ex-NightWing Kingdom...

Sunny was standing over him, crying as she stared at his injuries. "Don't worry, Starflight, I'll help you," she had said, starting to heal all the burn wounds on his body—the melted scales, the broken bones, the wing tears. Starflight didn't say anything as she healed him, the pain keeping his mouth locked shut.

She went to his face, but then he could finally open his jaw. "W...ait..." Sunny froze, not expecting him to say that. "What?" she asked in confusion. An image appeared in his mind: himself, able to see his scarred-up face along with the melted scales.

"Don't..." he groaned, the image in his mind disappearing.

Sunny was confused. "But Starflight, why?" she asked. "You can't see anything; you're blind." Starflight shook his head. "I... can see..."

Now everyone standing around him was confused. Sunny asked the question everyone was thinking: "How?"

"Ever since I was... I have been seeing visions," he said, resisting the shudder from the images he had been seeing of the future. "But I thought that you didn't have any future-seeing powers?" Tsunami asked from his side.

Starflight shook his head from where he was lying. "I didn't think I did, but this vision... it kept playing again and again in my mind while I was out."

Sunny started getting upset. "This doesn't justify you being blind, Starflight!" Starflight cut her off by holding up a talon. "You didn't let me finish."

He slowly stood up. "I have seen so many things now..." he started explaining. "How weak I actually am, how cocky I am, and... I am not one hundred percent sure?" He said the last part confused.

Sunny held back her protest. "What do you see?" Another image flashed through his head: all the dragonets surrounding him, Clay tiredly standing over him with bags under his eyes.

Starflight turned to look at where he thought Clay was standing. He raised his talons, trying to hug Clay, but he fell forward, misjudging the distance. Clay gasped, jumping forward and catching Starflight before he hit the ground.

Starflight took a deep breath, the sense of vertigo leaving him. "Are you okay?" he asked Clay.

"Why are you asking me that?" Clay asked. "You're the one who just came through being—" He was cut off by Starflight.

"I know what seeing me like this does to you, so are you—" he was cut off by Clay.

"No, I am not okay," Clay cried. "I made a promise to all of you that I would protect you, and I failed again!"

The rest of the dragonets surrounded the two. "Clay, we already said it's not your fault," Starflight told him, hugging the MudWing as he did so. Clay shook his head. "Yes, it is. I had one job, and I failed." Tsunami joined in on the hug. "Yes, we know," Glory said, joining in. "But we don't care." Sunny joined in, "You're our bigwings; we know you will always try your best." Peril joined in last, rubbing her head against his. "And that's why I love you."

The memory faded away, making Starflight smile. The high wind speeds he felt against his scales indicated how high up they were. "How much farther?" he asked Fatespeaker.

"It shouldn't be too much," she said while shaking her head. "The fact that you made it this high up Jade Mountain while blind is insane," she said sarcastically.

Starflight's ears perked up, hearing voices above them. "I am telling you, this place is going to be perfect for us!" Sunny's voice broke out. "I agree, Jade Mountain is placed almost dead center in Pyrrhia; no one will be able to say we picked with favoritism in meetings," Icicle agreed with the hybrid.

Another image flashed in Starflight's mind that came from Fatespeaker. All the dragonets in the whole group were staring down a cave on the side of the mountain. Clay, likely having just made it.

"Ah, there he is!" Tsunami exclaimed, having just noticed Starflight. "It's Mister Shuffle Claws himself!"

Starflight attempted to walk up to where he supposed the SeaWing was standing. "So, you found us a place?" Tsunami punched his shoulder. "That would be correct!" she said happily. "This mountain is big enough for all of us, and it's in the middle of Pyrrhia, so it won't take us long to get anywhere."

Sunny joined in. "And with Clay and the sibs, making a home out of the mountain shouldn't take too long!" she said happily.

Clay walked out of the tunnel, having heard the conversation. Peril walked up beside him. "Isn't my man so useful?" she teased.

Starflight smiled. "I don't really care where it's at," he said while standing up. "As long as I'm with you guys, everything is home."

Sunny ran, bolting into the cave. "I call dibs on the first cave!" Qibli laughed. "I guess I'll take seconds."

Winter shook his head. "Stupid sand snorter..."

Three weeks earlier...

The earth shivered as a certain dragon released his wrath across the world, the earth itself seeming to be scared.

A certain metal object snapped in half.

A large eye snapped open.

"Finally.
