There was a pack meeting held that night and you kept your distance from Liam, choosing to sit with Lydia instead. The pack would look between you every now and then, but you weren't in the mood to talk about what had happened. On the way out, someone grabbed your arm.
"Let's talk" Liam said, shutting the front door after he pulled you outside.
"What the hell was that all about earlier?"
"Which part?"
"With Theo!" he yelled.
"What, the fight?" he nodded his head as if you were stupid, gesturing for you to explain yourself.
"You had a fight, I helped clear up the wounds."
"He's a wolf, he doesn't need help. You should've helped me."
"If you hadn't forgotten Liam, you're a wolf and your injuries weren't as bad!" you exclaimed. You were mad, how could he be mad at you about this? He completely ignored the fact that he had been with Hayden, as if it didn't matter.
"But you should've come to me!" his eyes flashed gold as he moved towards you. "You're such a traitor, you don't care about any of us!"
"I carer about all of you. You're my family. Do you want to know who I no longer care about?"
"Who?"
"you." You said, your voice cracking slightly as you fought back tears. You didn't know what to do. You both stood there shocked. You couldn't go back inside, the pack would've heard you. Yet stiles was your ride home. You turned your head at the sound of an engine.
"Are you ready to go?" Theo asked, holding out a helmet. You nodded, leaving an angry and hurt Liam behind as you climbed onto Theo's motor bike. You held onto his waist, asking yourself why he had come and how he had known.
He drove for a few more miles, then stopped at the side of the road, pulling off his helmet then completely swivelling around to face you on the bike. You removed your helmet as well, placing it with his.
"How did you know when to come?" you questioned.
"I found out there was a pack meeting and followed you. I heard your conversation and thought it would be better to get you out of there than to go in and talk to Scott about joining the pack."
"Thank you." You spoke.
"So No more you and Liam then." He said. He tried to be sympathetic, but you could tell he was quite happy.
"You could sound sorrier." You joked, trying to lighten up the mood.
"nah. There's no point. I'm glad you stood up to him." He said, patting you on the arm. Only he forgot about his werewolf strength, knocking you off his bike and down towards the ground. He reached out and grabbed you to prevent the fall, but ended up slipping off himself. He landed on top of you, causing an 'ouch' to escape your lips. He raised his head so your faces were almost touching. You could see his eyes wander to your lips again.
"Theo...." You said, your voice strained. "I can't breathe..." his eyes widened and he instantly rolled off you. You started laughing together at what had just happened. He jumped up, pulling you with him. Then he drove you home, apologising for almost crushing you before.
You collapsed onto your bed, exhausted. Theo was nice, but he still couldn't be trusted and you knew you couldn't let his kindness blind you. He could destroy the pack, your family.
You and Theo talked for the next few weeks and you and Liam ignored each other which was expected. Thankfully you had no classes together and could keep your distance when with the pack.
You didn't want to have this kind of relationship with Liam, in fact you had reached the stage where you wanted to be friends. So you visited his house after school. His mother opened the door and happily welcomed you inside, unaware of what been going on. You liked Liam's parents and they liked you, so you were never worried about 'meeting the parents' if you ever did date.
"He's not been well the last few weeks." His mother said to you.
"What's wrong? Has he caught something?"
"No. he doesn't leave his room except for school. That girl he knew from a long time ago- what her name? Hayley or something? They argued, he told her to leave. Then he got worse. No one can get through to him."
Concerned, you went upstairs and you hovered outside his door. You used to just walk in, but you didn't know now. What if he didn't want you there? You knocked once, then proceeded to open the door to his room. He was lay in bed, facing away from the door.
"Go away mum." He groaned, pulling the covers higher up over him. You didn't say anything, instead you shut the door and crept over to his bed. You lay on the covers facing him. You wondered if you should reach out and comfort him. You were harsh on him the other night. You did care about him, you were just hurting at the time.
You chose to drape your arms over him, burying your head in his neck.
"Y/n?" he croaked, his voice scratchy and rough.
"Yes" you whispered, not knowing what else to say.
"What are you doing here?"
"I came to see how you are. I hate the relationship we have now. I want to fix it."
"I thought you didn't care?"
"I was upset. I do care Liam."
"But your heart didn't show that you were lying."
"Listen to my heart now Liam." You whispered "I care about you." He rolled over, allowing you to see him for the first time. His hair was a mess, his skin pale, he had puffy, red eyes and dark circles showed how little sleep he had been getting.
"What happened?" you asked, referring to him and Hayden
"Do you want to know everything?" you nodded, deciding that you wanted answers.
"When Malia said that you had feelings for me and you left, I assumed you didn't. So I wanted to get rid of my feelings for you. So I kissed Hayden. Then I saw you talking to Theo, I got jealous and used her to try to make you jealous. It didn't go well, obviously. Hayden found out I was using her and came back here. We argued, I told her I didn't want to see her anymore and she left."
"I do love you y/n." he confessed. You stroked his cheek with the back of your hand, shuffling closer to him to press a soft kiss on his lips.
"I love you too. I'm sorry for what I said and did." He was still stunned from when you had kissed him.
"What about Theo?" he questioned, his voice laced with anger as he said his name.
"What about him. He's my friend. That's it." You clarified. He smiled for the first time in weeks, his fingers intertwining with yours.
"Next time I'm being a douche, tell me." He said. You agreed you would, making you both chuckle.
You slept over at his, cuddling on the bed. Unaware of the annoyed wolf who was watching the two of you through the window.
