A/N: this went in a completely different direction to begin with. I'm still pretty much improvising as I go, just with a few (a lot of) tweaks here and there.

You aimlessly walked around school for a while, until you had calmed down then headed back to the canteen where the pack were sat. You forced a smile on your face as you sat down next to Malia. She initially smiled back but that smile fell when she used her senses.

"What's up with you, you smell bad." She stated bluntly, earning the attention of the rest of the group.

"I'm fine don't worry" you tried to reassure them. Everyone seemed satisfied except stiles, who was still looking at you while everyone else returned to the previous conversation. You mouthed to him that you were okay but he simply shook his head. He had been your best friend for way too long and knew something was up. You hated keeping secrets from stiles, and this one in particular was eating away at you.

You had seen Theo later that day in lessons, his behaviour was not as obvious as it had been that morning. Maybe he too, thought you 'smelt bad' and realised it was due to him. Maybe he felt guilty for using you. Maybe what he said was a lie and he did care. After having thought about it constantly, you had come to the conclusion that the only way to see if Theo cared, was to try and fix things between you two. The only way to do that was to tell stiles what you had done. You hoped your friendship was as strong as you believed it to be.

At the end of the school day, you met him by his jeep. Without hesitation, you were bombarded with questions. He spoke fast, only a few words were recognisable. You hopped into the passenger seat, slamming the door shut to get him to be quiet.

"Hey don't hurt her." he spoke, as if the jeep was a sentient being. You rolled your eyes, patting the door as if to say sorry. "Are you finally going to tell me what's wrong?" he asked, starting the jeep, pulling out of the parking lot.

"Yes of course I'm going to tell you stiles, but you have to promise not to get mad." You tried to reason with him. He gave you a small nod, as if to say he wouldn't, but you could see his mind racing, thinking about what it might be.

"You know you can tell me anything." A nervous twitch was present on his face, as he shuffled in his seat. You and stiles were only ever in situations like this when one of you had done something awful.

"I slept with Theo" You had decided to just come out with it, instead of tiptoeing around the subject. Stiles slammed his foot on the breaks, sending you flying forward. Your seatbelt tightened and you slumped back into your seat.

"You did what!" he yelled, turning his body to face you. You rubbed the part of your head that collided with the headrest, not overly surprised by stiles' dramatic reaction.

"Last night. I slept with Theo" You clarified again, knowing it would take a minute to process. He gawked at you, his hand sliding off the wheel of the stationary jeep.

"Why would you do that you know he's evil, you know he's going to tear us all apart. You know that y/n! You're the only one of us who actually believes me! Or should I say believed." Stiles felt as if you had betrayed him, losing the one person who would listen to his mad ramblings about Theo's malevolent plots.

"He's not evil. There's more layers to his character than you know. Plus it's not like I planned it, and it's not like it's either you or him." You listed off the reasons you had told yourself all day, trying to justify your actions. Deep down inside you, you knew Theo wasn't evil, your conversation with him at the autumn dance was still fresh in your mind.

"Maybe it is either me or him" stiles crossed his arms, a childish pout on his lips. You let out a deep breath. Childish stiles wasn't exactly a favourite of yours.

"Stiles don't be ridiculous, you're acting like a baby. I'd choose you." You pointed out to him. He relaxed, his arms unfolding.

"That's good to know, only I'm not the one who slept with the enemy, did he get you to spill all of our secrets too" a car honked its horn behind you, indicating to stiles that he needed to get out of the middle of the road. He turned the keys to the jeep and restarted the drive home.

"There wasn't a lot of talking going on if I'm being honest" you muttered, holding in a smirk behind your hand. You glanced sideways to observe his reaction.

"Oh my... y/n I don't want to know these things. The image is horrible enough as it is." Stiles cringed, making you laugh. "It's really not funny, I don't want to picture his muscly body with you. Its gross, you're like my sister." The disgust etched onto his face simply made your laughter worse.

Once you regained your composure, you explained everything that happened to stiles, who seemed to have calmed down a considerable amount. To your surprise, he seemed reasonably accepting of the situation you found yourself in.

"What are you going to do?" he questioned, pulling up outside your house. You unbuckled your seat belt, picking up your school bag. The journey had taken twice as long as it usually did.

"I want to fix things with Theo. I'm pretty sure he's been acting like a douche because I made him hide in my wardrobe and asked him to keep it a secret." You thought out loud, seeing no other reasonable explanation, unless he really did use you as a one night stand.

"I can't believe you let me sit on your bed." Stiles joked, half serious. "I don't like him. But then you know that. If it turns out he used you, give me a call. Ill beat that werewolf's ass." Stiles flexed his muscles, looking pretty pleased with himself.

"Calm down slender" you kidded, mocking his ratio of muscle to Theo's. You were positive, even if Theo wasn't a werewolf, that he would beat stiles easily in a fight. He rolled his eyes as you jumped out of the jeep.

"I'm serious y/n. I don't trust him, make sure you're careful." you gave him a thumbs up as you started to head down your driveway. Stiles knew he had to let you do this, despite what all his instincts were screaming at him. You said you'd choose him if it came down to it, but stiles didn't want to risk losing you.
