Hi!! :) can you do an imagine that you're related to someone in the pack ((doesn't matter who)) and you're a bit of a sour wolf and sarcastic and stuff, but they bring you to a pack meeting for the first time and you meet Derek and he ends up liking you?? Thanks I love your writing <3
Words: 1176
A/N: you requested it a while ago, but I left it because I'd written quite a dew Derek imagines in a row, but here it is! Enjoy <3
You glanced out of the window as the glow of the moonlight lit up the night sky. You thought about how it was a half moon and you were grateful it wasn't a full moon. You loved your brother but the idea of him losing control always put you on edge. It wasn't that you were scared, you just didn't want to be responsible for hurting him in self-defence.
"you'll fit right in. everyone will like you" Scott said out of the blue, drawing your attention for only a few moments before you grunted and turned your head back again, this time your eyes focused on the empty buildings. You found it chilling how humans created so many buildings for so many different purposes, yet at night most were empty. Lifeless. But something about the peace and bareness drew you in. it was simple and it was an escape from busy, everyday life.
"You won't say anything embarrassing will you?" you could see from the way he glanced at you that he was trying to get you to talk. But you had no interest in talking. Your plan was to sit in the corner of the room and listen to music as everyone else talked around you. Normally, you wouldn't be so antisocial, but you had had a long, tiring week and now your little brother wanted to drag you to a pack meeting, because he thought it would be safer than you staying at home alone. You tried to argue when he insisted you came, but your 'I just want to go to sleep' lost against his 'and torn to pieces in the most painful way imaginable.'
You pulled up at the building.
"spooky." You smirked, trying to make a joke about the fact that inside was a room full of supernatural beings.
"Ha. Ha. Ha." He fake laughed, pulling your sleeve to get you to follow him. You walked in, clearly one of the first to arrive since there was absolutely nobody present.
"Good turnout." You muttered sarcastically, causing Scott to roll his eyes. You took a seat on one of the sofas and placed one earphone in your ear. You didn't want to come across too unfriendly, so you'd greet them when they came in, then you would lose yourself in your imagination.
He took a seat to the right of you, so he could see the door. He moved his leg up and down and you knew it was because he wasn't good at waiting. He had patience when he needed it but right now he saw no reason for everyone else to be later than him, especially as he had the mammoth task of persuading you to join them.
"Who's this?" a guy asked from one of the doorways. He folded his arms and looked down at you, twitching his nose. "She's not a wolf." He muttered, removing his eyes from you.
"No, this is my sister y/n." Scott introduced. The man raised his eyebrows at Scott.
"Fair enough." And with that he walked out of the room. You frowned at his lack of conversational skills, wondering how someone as friendly as Scott came to know this guy.
"That's Derek. Don't mind him he's a bit of a sour wolf. In fact you're practically twins." Scott clarified. You smiled extremely sweetly, showing him you weren't impressed with his comment.
Not long later the rest of the pack decided to show up and Derek returned and began discussing the most recent problem. You attempted to ignore their intrusive voices but it was impossible, so you turned off your music and put your earphones away. Your sudden movement caught everyone's attention.
"Well it's about time you listened, grumpy." Stiles scolded you, using the nickname he found entertaining to use.
"Yeah. Sorry. Your screechy voice was drowning out my music. I thought I may as well listen to you fully, maybe then I'll go deaf and never have to hear you again." you sassed. Again, most people rolled their eyes, as they do whenever you make a comment. But Derek just continued to look at you, a questioning look in his eyes. You tore your attention away from him, feeling an odd feeling in your chest.
"So we need to capture him soon." Lydia spoke, nodding her head, a plan formulating in her mind.
"We use bait and lure him somewhere. Somewhere open or somewhere we can place a trap." She suggested.
"That isn't going to work." You piped in, leaning back in your seat and resting your elbow on the arm of the chair.
"Why not?" stiles questioned, gesturing dramatically with his hands.
"Do you really think this guy will be that oblivious? He'd be careful where he went, especially with the Scooby doo gang after him. You can't just lure him into a space, you need something more strategic. You need him to think that he's doing nothing differently. Like he's going somewhere he's familiar with. But not too familiar, you don't want him to notice that something is wrong." You said, your face barely moving and your tone of voice suggesting that you were tired of hearing all their unworkable ideas.
"That's way too complicated and it would take too much time to figure out where this place would be. We need something simple." Lydia argued, suggesting her idea was the best. The rest of the pack nodded.
"Actually. I agree with y/n." Derek interrupted, sending a quick glance in your direction, yet long enough to see your shocked expression. The others turned to him not quite believing what they were hearing.
"You can't possibly agree with her, it's the worst plan we've heard." Stiles debated, changing the atmosphere in the room back to normal from the previous shocked one.
"Actually it's better than your plan. It's better than all of them and it won't take much time. We already know what we need to know. Now we have to think of a trap and we'll get this guy." Derek expressed his view while you smirked at him. He noticed and resisted smiling, but you spotted his lips twitch.
The pack meeting continued smoothly, everyone slowly accepting the plan and making improvements. Soon it was over, and everyone had headed outside, leaving you and Derek alone.
"Why did you promote my idea?" you asked curiously, as you wandered towards the exit. Derek looked down and smiled, biting his lip.
"Because you're a very attractive female and you have a personality compatible with mine." you shook your head, grinning.
"Maybe I am. And maybe you're an attractive male, who is just as unfriendly as me." You remarked. Your small conversation was soon interrupted by Scott beeping the horn of your car, already sat in the driver's seat as you didn't have a clue where you were. You both sighed, as you strolled towards the car, your cheeks turning red as you thought about Derek. And he did the same, watching you disappear into the night, knowing that he would see you again.
