A/N: not requested, I just felt like I should write something for Halloween as it only happens once a year! Xx

Halloween was an important time of year for you. You loved all the spooky events that went on in beacon hills (although it got a lot more scary once you knew what was going on) and as you were growing up and your family always made the most of them, dressing up and trick or treating every year. This year was different from the rest, you were deemed too old to go out knocking on doors for sweets, so instead you and your boyfriend stiles made sure yours was the best house to visit in the area.

He had wanted to surprise you, buying fake cobwebs and what looked like millions of pumpkins. But you were an expert at this sort of thing and had put fake bones and lights around your front garden before he had even considered the idea. You appreciated the effort he put in and so you spent the day before Halloween carving pumpkins.

His were slightly less artistic than yours, which were a variety of scenes and scary faces. His were more focused on the things he loved, which you thought was adorable. He tried his best at carving R2-D2 and it was his biggest accomplishment of Halloween so far, so he put that one right on the front doorstep for everyone to see clearly.

The entrance to the house was dark and spooky, perfect for when you answer the door. You had candles all over, more to create a romantic atmosphere for when all the trick or treaters had gone.

You had both kept your costumes a secret from one another and tonight, on Halloween was the big reveal.

"Are you ready?" stiles called from the bedroom, letting you get changed in the bathroom.

"Almost!" you replied through the door, checking yourself in the mirror to make sure you had everything. "Ok I'm done." You opened the bathroom door excited to see what stiles had chosen but when you did he wasn't there. "Stiles where are you?" you shouted. There was no answer.

You walked further into the bedroom, towards the door into the hallway which was shut.

"stiles seriously this isn't funny!" you gripped the door handle, looking to the bottom of the door which had no light coming through, indicating that the hallway lights were off.

As soon as you opened the door, about to step through, stiles jumped out at you. You screamed and slammed the door, hearing a thump on the other side.

"Oww!" stiles exclaimed. You let him into the bedroom again, a scowl on your face.

"I'm sorry baby" he apologised, opening his zombie arms out to you.

"Fine I accept your apology." You sighed "and I'm sorry for slamming the door into your face." You giggled, accepting his hug.

"Eh, it's ok. It adds to the beaten up look." He spoke, pulling away so that he could admire your outfit.

"Wow. You make a hot vampire." He muttered, earning a playful slap on the arm from you.

"I know." You winked, as you walked past him, making your way towards the kitchen.

When he was out shopping, stiles had seen a special bag of trick or treat sweets and couldn't help buying what looked like the whole entire shop.

"Do you think we have enough?" you joked, once he had come down to help you prepare.

"Maybe. One things for sure, the kids in the neighbourhood are going to love us." You emptied the sweets into the largest bowls you could find, mixing the trick or treat sweets with the normal sweets you had brought.

"When this is over do you want to watch a film?" he suggested.

"Only if it's mildly scary. I don't want to have a repeat of last year." You tried to push the memories away.

"Oh it was so cute! You had to hide in my arms."

"It was embarrassing." You said, folding your arms over your chest.

"It's not your fault Scott came over in the middle of the night in wolf form. Anyone would've screamed in his face and tried to knock him out with a toothbrush." You could tell from stiles face that he was trying to hold in his laughter.

"I didn't have anything else around me." You defended yourself, not wanting to talk anymore about that night.

"I know. It just makes me laugh, you should've seen Scotts face!" you talk was interrupted by a knock at the door.

"No terrifying movies, and no Scott." You ordered, a sweet smile on your lips as you spoke.

"Agreed. Let the horror begin."
