One minute you were at home, enjoying the glowing leaves on the trees that twirled around your garden. The next minute you were thrown into an unknown forest. It was different from the one in which you lived. This was more... plain. The vegetation was dull and the ground was hard and rocky, nothing like the the ground around your house which spontaneously sprouted shoots in the summer, creating an environment bursting with life.
You were still in the same clothes, a pastel blue dress floating to the floor, but the once shiny material was dreary and unclean. You were confused and you weren't the only one.
He had been running through the woods, music blasting through his headphones. It helped him calm down. Everything was normal as he dived around trees and leapt over rocks. Suddenly he saw a flash in the corner of his vision, a glow remaining after it. He followed it, curiosity flowing through his veins. The source of the glow was a girl, around his age, maybe older. Her skin illuminated the darkness, her clothing odd and seemingly out of this world. He couldn't help but stare at her beauty. He found himself moving closer.
You only just noticed his presence as he emerged from the trees, moving towards you. He was dressed weirdly and you could hear a strange noise, as if quiet voices were singing out. The sound seemed to originate from him. You were not scared, in fact, something about him relaxed you. It felt familiar. His fingertips brushed your cheek and you involuntarily leant towards them. His eyes flickered to a gold colour, the most beautiful gold you had ever seen.
He observed how you leant into his touch, his heart skipping a beat in response. He felt his eyes glow, yet he had no control. Whatever she was she had an effect on him. One that he had never felt before. Up close he began to notice the smaller details; how some of her hair was braided and contained little jewels, how her ears pointed slightly at the top, how she seemed so delicate and small.
Two wires hung from his top. You reached out and held them, feeling the vibrations, each note they were playing. It was amazing. You could suddenly feel everything, the world turning, and life everywhere. Maybe this wasn't the dull place you had thought it to be.
"Who-what are you?" he asked once he had snapped out of his thoughts.
"y/n." you said shyly." I'm and elf. What about you?" you could tell he was different.
"Liam. I'm a werewolf" your eyes widened in amazement. You had never met a werewolf before.
"Where do you live?" he said, filled with many questions to ask you.
"Umm... I don't know. Not here. Where am I?" you didn't know how you got here or maybe you just forgot?
"Beacon hills." He noticed that you didn't respond so he continued. "earth."
You had heard stories of a place named earth, it was a world where magic was to be hidden. Your family had warned you about it and told you not to go. You spun around, searching for a way back, but all you saw was the gloomy forest surrounding you. Engulfing who you truly are.
"Hey... it's alright. You're safe..." Liam said, grabbing your shoulders to stop you, careful to use as little werewolf strength as possible. He invited you to stay with him for tonight and you agreed, not wanting to spend the night in the woods. He walked you back to his, guiding you and turning back to check that you were still there. As soon as you left the forest you froze. Strange buildings and pathways surrounded you. But you didn't have much time to stay and observe, since Liam tugged you along. The whole world was new and you had to admit you were excited to explore it.
You arrived at his house and snuck up to his room. He threw an odd top at you, presumably one of his. He turned around, wanting to give you privacy. You changed into it, your old clothes dissipating before your eyes. Puzzled you tried to feel for the dress, but it gone, a light shimmery dust in its place. You told Liam you were done so he awkwardly faced, you, trying and failing to keep his eyes on your face.
"We'll share the bed then." You stated, making his face redden. You had shared a bed with your siblings growing up, so this seemed normal to you. However you found you were good at telling emotions, it was one of your special powers and he was feeling slightly flustered. Nevertheless he agreed to share it with you. You lay there and fell instantly to sleep, the mystifying events tiring you.
He couldn't help but watch you. You looked even more peaceful asleep. You had your back faced to him and your hair fell to the side exposing your neck. He could see a faint pattern on your skin, so he traced it gently with his fingers, making you shiver. You shuffled back, towards his touch like you did earlier on in the night. He sniffed trying to remember your scent, as it was definitely one he didn't want to forget.
